Located mere minutes from one of Bali's most hallowed sites, Tanah Lot Temple, the resort contains an enclave of multi-room villas with varying views. Strategically designed to make the most of its surroundings, each abode was created to complement nature and has its own pool, direct beach access, inner courtyards bathed in natural light, and al fresco pavilions for relaxing. Guests are privy to butler service, round-the-clock room service, wireless internet access throughout the resort, and sensual indoor/outdoor showers.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Soori in September 2024. It was a perfect place to start our Indonesia holiday! From the airport transfer experience to the time we checked out, the service was exceptional. The staff always greeted us by name and seemed eager to please. Our villa was spacious, comfortable and a great place to relax to the sights and sounds of the ocean. The ‘tasting breakfast’ concept was a real treat, and we enjoyed the meals we had at Cotta also. During our short stay, two small weddings took place and there didn’t seem to be many non-wedding guests around so the resort was generally pretty quiet. This suited us just fine although it did mean there wasn’t much atmosphere in the restaurant/bar in the evenings, however we did benefit from the wedding fireworks displays! The little gym and the spa were both lovely. Other activities included making a visit to Tanah Lot temple one morning; someone from the hotel drove us there and walked us round the complex, which was a great experience. We would happily return some day.

Just checked out of the most beautiful stay at Soori Bali. This is a truly special piece of earth, with stunningly designed villas and public spaces—but what makes it unforgettable is its people and soul. Bali has no shortage of beautiful hotels, but if you’re looking for an out-of-this-world experience (think volcanic cliffs and a dramatic black sand beach), nothing compares to Soori. From the moment you check in, you feel like you’ve stepped into heaven—welcomed with a delicious drink and a warm smile. The food is exceptional. We enjoyed dinner at Cotta, the Indonesian restaurant, and at Keiyo, the newly opened Japanese teppanyaki counter—both were outstanding. I also loved their sharing-plates breakfast concept, which lets you taste a variety of dishes without the guilt of over-ordering. Congratulations to Mr. Chan for conceptualizing such a beautiful resort. I can’t wait to see what he creates next in Penang and Niseko, and for assembling such a wonderful team. Special thanks to Dian for helping us plan our stay, to Haryono (Front Desk Manager) and Hangki (Resort Manager) for ensuring everything was perfect, and to our butlers Zarafa and Benny for looking after us so well. Already counting the days until I’m back.

After three years, I finally returned to a place that once left a quiet mark on my soul. And this time, to celebrate something special: my birthday. From the moment I stepped back into SOORI Bali, it felt like time folded into itself. As if nothing had changed, yet everything felt deeper. The same calming rhythm of the ocean. The same volcanic black sand underfoot. But this time, it meant more, it felt like coming home. SOORI reminded me that home can also be a feeling. A connection. A moment. It’s not always built by walls or blood, but by warmth, sincerity, and stillness. And that’s what SOORI offers, not just a stay!!! The minimalist architecture blends seamlessly with the land, each structure feels like it grew from the earth itself. The 1km stretch of dramatic black sand beach is nothing short of cinematic, especially as the golden hour lights up the sky. One of my favorite moments was having sunset drinks and canapés at the cliffside gazebo, where the ocean below whispered and the sky performed its nightly masterpiece. Didn’t expect to feel this much… but wow, what a show. What made it all even more special was reconnecting with the SOORI team, especially Ms. Dian, Ms. Emilie, Mr. Mike and Mr. Rama whose warmth and hospitality left a deep impression. It’s rare to feel so genuinely welcomed and remembered. Thank you, SOORI Bali, for the grace, the silence, the beauty. All perfect. Truly. And I know I’ll return again. Best hotel we have stayed at in Bali out of the 10 we visited during last two years. Fabulous Resort/Hotel Spa. Probably the best onsite Spa experience we have had. Amazing design of the Spa. We also love this part of Bali for the black volcanic sand beach.

My wife and I stayed at Alila Villas Soori for 4 days and we truly loved our time there. Our ocean view villa was so beautiful that we did not want to go out of it - even for food! Loved the attention to detail that was displayed. The service (hosts, chef, manager, reception) was excellent throughout our stay. My wife was 5 months pregnant when we visited. The chef and manager were extremely accommodating to our food requests. We requested for a motorbike to go around the neighboring town. Not only was our request met quickly, but we were given directions as well as a local cellphone in case we got lost. How cool is that! We had a chauffeur pick us from central Bali on the day of our check-in. He also dropped us off when we were ready to leave. The chauffeur is very respectful and helpful, making sure you are comfortable through the journey. When you are at Alila Villas Soori, you truly feel like royalty. It is an amazingly beautiful resort. - M. Ponnuswamy
