W Bali, Seminyak

Great staff food and environment. Everything and everyone was top notch.

We stayed at W Bali – Seminyak recently. Staff were very friendly as always, and the villa itself (aside from wear on the wooden decks) remains in very good condition. Breakfast at Starfish Bloo was enjoyable, though consistently busy. Unfortunately, the ongoing renovation significantly impacts the experience. Construction noise was not overbearing but constantly present, and the atmosphere around the pool was affected. What disappointed us most was the lack of proactive communication: despite inquiring directly after booking after we read some posts online, we were given shifting timelines for Woobar’s reopening, and no clear information before arrival. On property, a simple “apologies for the inconvenience” is not enough for a luxury brand. We even cancelled our second stay and moved to another Seminyak property because of this. W Bali will likely be excellent again once renovations are complete, but until then, guests should proactively check with the hotel shortly before arrival to understand the current situation and decide if it suits them.

We stayed at the W Seminyak Bali recently to celebrate our anniversary, this was our second time staying here as we also stayed at W for our honeymoon. We only had a short stay the first time so were very excited to come back and fully enjoy the resort for a longer period this time, and we are so happy that we did. During this stay we opted to stay in one of the villa rooms with a private pool and the room was absolutely stunning, we have stayed in many hotels all around Bali over the years and we were both in agreeance that this was our favorite room so far. Continuing to impress us with the same quirky, beautiful room design and small touches we fell in love with the first time we stayed. Including a special welcome card and sweet treat for our anniversary set up in our room when we arrived. Breakfast every morning was amazing, with two options, sat either by the ocean in a stunning open air space at Starfish Bloo or in the equally beautiful, more intimate FIRE restaurant. Both were buffet style breakfasts and we looked forward to it each morning. We were also lucky to experience some of the special dinner events in the evenings such as the BBQ FIRE Friday night dinner and also the seafood BBQ dinner the following night by the ocean (the food was sensational and even we couldn't quite finish everything as there was so much delicious food). For our final night we ate at FIRE steakhouse again and were completely spoilt for our anniversary. Room and food aside (although I could talk about the food all day) the beachside resort itself is stunning with a huge pool area overlooking the ocean, the perfect spot to lounge for the day and sip on cocktails and bintangs. And last but certainly not least we would like to thank and shout out all of the amazing staff members at W, every single person we came into contact with during our stay, whether it was someone helping us to our room, driving us in the buggy to the main street, assisting us during check in/out or in any of the bars/restaurants, everyone could not be more welcoming, friendly and helpful. A special shoutout has to go to our friend Adi, who helped book us into some of the evening events but was also just there to help us throughout our whole stay with anything that we needed. Also a big thank you to Eldo the assistant manager at FIRE who we met on day one and ensured we were well looked after during all of our visits to this beautiful restaurant. We rarely stay in the same place in Bali twice, but I am certain that with W Bali we will be breaking our own rule again and visiting a third time very soon! Thank you for an incredible stay 🌴❤️

I’ve stayed at many W properties globally, and W Bali Seminyak is "W done absolutely right." Often, W hotels lean too far into a "do it yourself" vibe that feels cold, or they become too formal and lose the "fun" factor. This property strikes the perfect balance. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was among friends. The Hospitality & Vibe What sets this property apart is the staff. Everyone—and I mean absolutely everyone—is incredibly friendly, polite, and hospitable. They manage to deliver top-tier service in a relaxed, "no-pressure" way. There is zero formality or upselling pressure; it just feels like catching up with casual friends who genuinely want you to have a great time. This is exactly why I love the W brand. Security & Safety It might sound unusual to highlight security, but the team here is exceptional. Security is very tight, which is impressive given it’s a beachside property on a public beach, yet every guard was polite and friendly (scratch that, they are extremely friendly). I specifically appreciated the emphasis on guest safety. Whenever I boarded a Grab motorbike, I could hear the security staff reminding the drivers to be "sabar-sabar" (patient) and "hati-hati" (careful), only giving the "OK" once they were sure I was ready. It’s that level of care that makes you feel truly looked after. Dining & Sunset • Breakfast: Absolutely amazing with a massive variety. • Starfish Bloo & Fire: The dining experience was a highlight of the stay. The service is genuinely warm. Special thanks to Eddy, Jevon, Ricko, and Tia at Starfish Bloo, as well as the Restaurant Manager. The entire team of waiters and waitresses at both Starfish Bloo and Fire are some of the friendliest I’ve encountered. • Sunset: Watching the sunset here is an absolute must—the views are spectacular. Special Mentions A huge thank you to Nick, Bayu, and Hertina for their exceptional service and for making me feel so welcome. Final Verdict Being upgraded to a villa was the cherry on top of a stay that was already perfect. If you want a place to relax, rejuvenate, and have fun all at once, this is it. I can’t recommend W Bali enough!
