Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Hotel

We stayed at this hotel in January 2026 for one week. This was our second visit at this hotel, and we decided to upgrade to the Elite section. We definitely think it is worth it. Upon arrival, we had our own check in area and the service was quick to get our room and have our bags brought up. The receptionists Liticia and Yesel are amazing for the Elite section, and went above and beyond to meet our needs. Our butlers, Yen and Adrian, were super kind and also did the most for us. The rooms were spacious and comfortable during our stay, and our cleaning lady made sure the room was tidy each day. We did not find any noise when we were in our rooms, and it was perfect to relax. We had our own restaurant for all our meals, and it was amazing. The staff was super kind and very attentive, especially our server Elianne. The bartender made incredible coffee daily, and we enjoyed it very much. They are very hard working and always had a smile on their face. The supervisor at the restaurant always made sure everything was running in tip top shape. The options were great, and even had lobster and salmon for breakfast. The beach, as usual in Cuba, was perfect. White sand, crystal clear water, and amazing atmosphere. Again, in the Elite section, we had no issues reserving seats, as we had our beach beds available whenever we wanted. There were plenty of activities being led by the energetic and amazing entertainment team. One highlight we also enjoyed was the rooftop bar. It is an extra fee for drinks, however it is worth it. The view is also amazing from the top. The only negative thing was the zoo, in our opinion. They had animals such as goats and baby goats, peacocks, hens. But to keep hawks and falcons in small cages it's really depressive. It would be good if the management pays attention to this and let the birds go. Additionally, during the last 3 days of our stay, we had no running water. It was a struggle to stay clean and flush toilets. We did understand the situation going on, so we were not too angry, however it was just incredibly inconvenient. Overall, despite the minor hiccups, we loved our stay and had a fantastic time. The staff really did make our experience even better. We look forward to returning again. Thank you to everyone.

I stayed at the Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Hotel in Cuba with my 18-year-old daughter, and we had a great experience. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The beach is stunning and a lovely place to spend the day. Our room was great, very clean, and we had a beautiful view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The noise level was never an issue, and we were able I’m to relax and sleep comfortably throughout our stay. This was also a super affordable vacation, and for the price, the value exceeded our expectations. The service really stood out. If the beach loungers were full, all we had to do was ask and staff would quickly bring more chairs and set us up. The ladies at the ice cream shop deserve a special mention — they were always friendly and generous and made every visit enjoyable. We enjoyed the food, especially the Asian and Indian restaurants, which were both excellent. Between the restaurants, snacks, and available options throughout the day, we never went hungry. Most importantly, the staff made this trip memorable. Everyone was kind and attentive, but Anisley was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond, always greeted us warmly, and truly cared about making sure we had a great stay. The resort felt safe and comfortable, making it a great choice for a mother–daughter trip. We made great memories and happily give this hotel 5 stars. I would definitely recommend Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing and affordable vacation in Cuba.

The beach volleyball was very enjoyable here. Plenty of people would gather and just have fun and it’s a nice way to make friends while you’re here! Richard was the volleyball organizer and he did a great job!

This was a great hotel. Had a lot of fun playing volleyball at the beach. Richard, the volleyball organizer for beach volleyball always made sure we all had a fun time!
