Every day that you stay in Akyra Thonglor Bangkok you will see why the Thai people are famous for their charm, their hospitality and their Buddhist calm. Here, at Akyra Thonglorc Bangkok, service is impeccable and the comfort and peace within the hotel seems a million miles from the traffic in the city of Bangkok below. The hotel is conveniently located not far from the International Airport of Suvannabhumi and is within easy access of several Bangkok attractions.

Well managed hotel. The staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued as guests. Outstanding experience. Concierge is a real saver for visiting Bangkok.

MUU Hotel Bangkok is a really great place to stay. First the staff is genuinely friendly and professional, and take care of every detail while I stayed at MUU Hotel. The facilities are extraordinary, luxurious, cozy and comfortable. Everything is squeaky clean. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. Thank you Mr Biggy from reception for taking care of my luggage and taxis.

We picked this because we wanted a hotel outside of the main area of Bangkok, but in all honesty, this was an error. The hotel is setback from a busy, noisy road, and while only ten minutes walk from the Skytrain, feels a little remote. We booked a suite, and the accommodation was very good; large, quite well designed and quite comfortable. Housekeeping was good. The bathroom is poorly designed with an enormous tub that you have to climb into for the shower, so this would not be suitable for anyone with any limited mobility or anyone who is short. Also, the shower controls are under the shower head so you get a lot of cold water on you when trying to get a shower. First world problems I know, but a better design would have thought about this. Reception is ok, but for a hotel of this class, surprising. The lobby is a mirrored festooned disco, which is a bit off putting. This is supposed to be luxury, and the entrance feels more Travelodge. The pool is small and the sitting out areas really very limited. The day we were there nobody was clearing anything away, so dirty glasses and plates were piling up in the upstairs public areas. Again, not the end of the world, but not what a hotel of this class should present. We didn’t try the breakfast. At £180 for two for six days, this seemed a stretch quite frankly, so I can’t comment on this aspect of the place. There are plenty of local coffee shops in the area, so save yourself some money and get a coffee and croissant elsewhere.
