The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection, Bangkok

I had a wonderful 11-night stay at the Athenee in April. The hotel is conveniently located, yet away from the noise and crowds of Sukhumvit. I particularly enjoyed breakfast in the Rain Tree Cafe and having morning chats with Saifah (Jay) and Chita (or maybe Sita?). They genuinely made me feel welcomed and shared their local insights with me. I've stayed at some nice hotels, but the Athenee was quite exceptional in everyway. I look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity.

Great stay and experiences from breakfast services also staff at lobby. Ms. Marisa and the rest of services team were very attentve in details make us enjoyed with food nd services. We attend meeting on 2 nd floor also stay in this hotel. Room is good not big not small. Mr. Ood help us for valet parking so good to be here

We have just left The Athenee after a wonderful 3-night stay. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, we were treated like royalty. Our Marriott Bonvoy status was also acknowledged . The hotel has a stunning entrance and the room we had (Athenee Suite) was both spacious and luxurious with lots of nice touches making for a very comfortable stay. The Royal Club Lounge on the 26th Floor is where private check in is completed and is a great space for relaxation and for sampling some of the wonderful cocktails on offer. The staff, though, are what takes this amazing hotel to another level. Your every need is anticipated and staff in the breakfast room were extremely attentive, even remembering our breakfast orders from the previous day and asking if we wished to have the same again. The hotel is in an excellent area for access to shopping malls and not too far to walk to get the city tour bus to explore the city attractions. We also dined in the hotel’s Thai restaurant (see separate review) and this was also a fabulous experience. When next in Bangkok, we will definitely return to The Athenee. Thank you one again for making our Bangkok experience a very memorable one.

The Athenee is located two BTS stops away from Central World, Siam Paragon and 5-10 mins walking distance away from Lumphini Park, situated on Wireless Road in the city's central business district, which makes the hotel quite strategically located. The hotel is part of the Luxury Collection of the Marriott group. It's a beautiful hotel, which occupies the former grounds of Kandhavas Palace, the royal residence of Princess Valaya Alongkorn. The feeling of entering a palace is felt at the lobby entrance and also the design of the rooms. The hotel is following a "Thai Transitional Luxury" design, melding early 20th-century European elegance with Thai motifs. The service level is close to a Ritz Carlton and a notch below St. Regis (just to give an idea), where the staff will do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel also is pet friendly. What surprised me was the swimming pool. The water temperature of most of innercity hotel's swimming pools which sit on higher floors is cold. The water at this hotel is just right, it feels comfortable and the pH also feels right (just like the water in Westin's Nusa Dua in Bali). The hotel is connected to an office and there are other office buildings in the vicinity, so there are a lot of eating places (ranging from local Thai to Western cuisines) and also there is a Starbucks at the connecting Athenee Tower. All in all, it's a very convenient hotel for both business and family trips. thank you for the staff for making it a very comfortable hotel stay. Am looking forward to a return trip.
