I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was very good comfortable bed, high quality linen, and complete facilities that made it easy to fully relax. The bathroom was spacious, and the river view from the room was absolutely beautiful. The restaurant was also impressive. Kang Phed Ped Yang was especially delicious, and overall the Thai menu was excellent. Breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of choices to enjoy. A special mention to Khun Big and Khun Vi for their excellent beverage service, they were attentive and made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a great stay with both comfort and fantastic dining. Highly recommended!

We’ve been lucky enough to stay in some incredible hotels in Bangkok and around the world—but from the moment we arrived at Capella Bangkok, we knew this was on another level. The welcome set the tone immediately. We were greeted with such warmth, offered drinks and snacks, and made to feel completely at ease. Throughout our stay, that feeling never left—every member of staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our experience special. Nothing was ever too much trouble. As we explored the hotel, it quickly became clear just how beautiful it is. The décor is elegant and calming, with stunning fresh flowers throughout that make every space feel carefully curated and luxurious. Our room was a real highlight. We had a balcony overlooking the river, and waking up to that view—both from the bed and even the bathroom—was something we’ll never forget. The layout was thoughtfully designed, with a walk-through wardrobe that made everything feel effortless and spacious. The experience continued with the food. On our first night, we enjoyed what was quite possibly the best green curry we’ve ever had. Breakfast each morning was just as impressive—not only for the quality, but for how personalised it felt. Even when we asked for things not on the menu, like ginger shots and fresh mango, they were always happily provided. One of the most special parts of our stay was the Capella “Culturist” experience. The team offer a truly personal service, curating activities that go far beyond the typical hotel offering. We took part in a Buddhist meditation session with a monk, which was both inspiring and educational, giving us a deeper understanding of relaxation and mindfulness. We also joined a food stall crawl, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. Accompanied by a chef and a member of the Culturist team, we spent around four hours exploring the local area—tasting incredible food while also learning about the history, culture, and people behind it. Everyone we met was so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, which made the experience feel incredibly authentic. What made it even more special was what followed… that same evening, the chef prepared a beautiful meal for us, using ingredients she had introduced to us during the tour and a special curry from the Chef’s childhood (which should definitely be added to the menu). It was such a thoughtful and personal touch, and something we’ll always remember. Days by the pool were peaceful and relaxing, with attentive staff bringing cold water and fresh fruit to our sunbeds. It never felt crowded—just calm, quiet, and perfectly managed. We also had the opportunity to take part in several of the “Capella Moments”, including a dessert demonstration and creation, cocktail making, and wine tasting. Each one was unique, engaging, and thoughtfully delivered—adding something really special and memorable to our stay. And then there were the sweet treats from “Kin” that are prepared daily on site, including a coconut cake that was honestly one of the best things we’ve ever tasted—almost too beautiful to eat, but far too good not to. We also loved spending time in The Living Room, where there were drinks and snacks available throughout the day, a daily afternoon tea, and “Cin Cin Hour” in the evenings with free-flow drinks and cocktails—a really enjoyable and social experience. We also visited the spa and it was exactly what you would hope for—beautiful surroundings and a fantastic massage. And then there were the little touches that truly set Capella apart. All the staff including the managers, making time to talk to us about our holiday and having a real interest in our day or our plans, returning to our room each evening to a personalised sweet treat, beautifully presented, was such a lovely surprise. The toiletries were another standout—presented in individual boxes that form a picture of the river, which we’ll be taking home as a keepsake. Even a Capella handbag was provided for use during our stay and a specially prepared coconut cake made for us when they had run out. By the end of our stay, it was clear—this isn’t just a luxury hotel, it’s an experience. Everything feels thoughtful, personal, and delivered with genuine care. We would absolutely recommend Capella Bangkok and, without hesitation, are already planning our next stay at a Capella property (we were having a look whilst at the airport waiting for our flight home).

This is simply an exceptional hotel. An oasis of calm and quiet understated luxury in the centre of Bangkok. Service is impeccable and intuitive. We have stayed three times in the Veranda Suite, river premier suite and river king suite. The rooms are spacious, impeccably designed - all with river views. Food at the riverside restaurant is also exceptional. All are excellent. Highly recommended.
