Conrad Bangkok

Our home away from home in Bangkok wasn't that great this time around. We checked in at 17:30 for our 3-night stay. We booked a twin Premium room and despite higher category rooms being available throughout our stay - no Diamond upgrade was given. We were allocated room 2307, which featured 2 queen beds, a TV, a desk and chair, a cramped sofa and armchair, a coffee table, a safe and a walk-in closet. The bathroom (which was the non-renovated part of the room) featured a sink, bathtub, a shower with a good water pressure and a toilet with a bidet. The bathroom amenities were the Mojave Ghost line from Byredo, which we love. Due to the old architecture of the bathroom and the glass door separating it from the bedroom, the room was not light-proof at all. We had 2 breakfasts at Cafe@2, which was average, as usual, being too small for such a hotel. I've written a separate review about it. We also had a light lunch at the City Terrace by the pool, which was lovely. The Club lounge, which is usually the pinnacle of our stay was less stellar this time around. It was mostly crowded, featured a minimal breakfast (when the Cafe@2 was overflowing with guests one morning), but we still enjoyed the afternoon spread and the evening buffet (including some vegan options). We also ordered a nice pizza and pasta to the lounge one evening, which was nice. Most of the staff at the lounge changed since last year, and the current staff somehow lacked the hospitality we were used to in numerous previous stays. The pool was as fun as ever (although they were renovating a fence there, which made some disturbing noise). This was, unfortunately, not conveyed to us prior to our arrival and we learnt about it from a letter in the room. Bottom line - this has been our favourite hotel in Bangkok for almost 15 years now, but something has got to give and the hotel needs to step up and upgrade several of its facilities, especially with the new Conrad opening in Bangkok soon.

We had an amazing stay at the Conrad! Our room and the view were beautiful, and we really appreciated the complimentary extra bed and all the thoughtful gestures. A special shout-out to Vivian at breakfast. She was so kind, cheerful, and helpful, and she took care of each one of us individually and personally. She even remembered exactly how I liked my hot chocolate and made it for me every time—such a thoughtful touch! ❤️ Thank you, Vivian, and the entire Conrad team, for making our stay so wonderful!

I had an excellent stay at this hotel in June, 2026. The hotel is beautiful, with superb, top-quality construction and finishes throughout. It is well located, and about a 5 - 10 minute walk from the Ploen Chit BTS station. (It's a bit tricky to find on your first walk, so app assistance can be helpful. Or just chat with the hotel for directions.) I also used Grab, and their drivers were all very familiar with the hotel. The rooms are comfortable, beautifully furnished, and well-appointed in every respect. The Executive Lounge is outstanding and the evening service, which includes a salad bar, a wide variety of hors d'oeuvres, plus beer, wines and cocktails is stellar. The service provided by the team members if off-the-charts attentive and terrific. Similarly terrific is the breakfast buffet at the main restaurant. The selection is extraordinary, with offerings from multiple national cuisines including local, western, Indian, Middle-Eastern and others. The buffet also offers an abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables, yogurts and other healthful options. The manager, Vivian, is outstanding, as are her talented colleagues Game, Nid, Fai and others. Guests benefit from a great team effort at this understandably popular daily breakfast event. I checked in and out at the Executive Lounge, and the process was flawless in both cases: friendly, competent, efficient and pleasant. Overall, the hospitality provided by this hotel was exquisite and every aspect of my stay was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel, and look forward to returning to it myself.
