We stayed at the Conrad Bangkok for four nights and, unfortunately, left very underwhelmed. The hotel felt soulless and lacked the warmth or attention to detail that you’d expect from a five-star property. We visit Bangkok three to four times a year and usually stay at the Kempinski or The Peninsula ; both of which consistently deliver exceptional service. This time, we decided to try the Conrad mainly because we have never stayed this area and I’ve always liked their bathroom amenities Byredo. For this particular trip, we are coming straight from the Anantara Hua Hin (which was beyond amazing), the difference in atmosphere and service was night and day. The most disappointing incident happened on our last night at the bar. As a Muslim who doesn’t drink alcohol, I specifically ordered a non-alcoholic drink only to be served one containing alcohol. When I took a sip, I immediately noticed the mistake. The hostess apologized and said it was a “miscommunication” with the bartender, and while she did comp the drinks and food, this was an extremely distressing and unacceptable error. To make things worse, the apple tarte tatin we ordered came completely frozen ; the apples were literally iced solid and impossible to cut or eat. Our final impression was sealed when we went to the front desk after the bar. We had a late flight the next day and requested a late checkout ; a very standard request in any hotel. The front desk staff member we dealt with was cold, curt, and dismissive, insisting the hotel was “full house” and absolutely refusing to even check again or offer alternatives. As someone who’s worked in hospitality in Singapore for over 10 years, I found the lack of empathy and professionalism appalling. Even if the hotel was indeed full, there was no attempt to assist or accommodate us in any way. Overall, the experience felt transactional and far from the service standards Conrad (or any with a 5 star so called reputation ) is known for. It’s hard to believe the hotel was fully booked ; 100-% occupancy on a midweek Wednesday all 392 rooms, when all rooms category are still available online. If you’re considering a stay here, there are many other Bangkok hotels that offer much better value, warmth, and genuine hospitality — especially the Kempinski, Anantara, or Peninsula. Had a wonderful three day stay on business. Clean and practical facilities. Well equipped gym. Quality of food was second to none. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Special call out to Ama, for making us welcome and feel at home at breakfast with prompt supply of special coffee orders at the right temperature and taste. The club lounge at level 29 is also worth a visit.

I particularly enjoyed the executive lounge for breakfast. The table service and a la-carte menu is very good. Although the executive lounge can be a little busy on an evening but this is down to the hotels location and large number of diamond Hilton members. But there are so many good restaurants in the area go out and explore. I’d particularly like to mention Kan at the spa. I had probably the best massage of my life. Exceptional.

We had an amazing stay at Conrad Bangkok! From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel right at home. Hotel is very clean and staff is very welcoming! Each morning at breakfast, the staff took such great care of us — especially Sirin (who looks so much like Lisa from BlackPink!), Fai, Game, Man, and Amy. They quickly learned our favorite drinks and food preferences, which made every morning extra special. Our room was always spotless and comfortable, with thoughtful afternoon turndown service. We also enjoyed spending time at the Executive Lounge, where the selection of drinks and hors d’oeuvres was excellent. Special mention to Ziggy and the crew! They took great care of us! Overall, it was a wonderful experience — we truly felt pampered throughout our stay and can’t wait to come back!

I had a wonderful experience at the Conrad Hotel. The hospitality was exceptional, and the staff made me feel truly welcomed throughout my stay. A special thanks to Chef Papae, who prepared delicious Thai food that was perfectly cooked and full of authentic flavor. He’s an excellent chef, and his dishes made my stay even more memorable. Highly recommended!
