The Landmark Bangkok, a part of the Lifestyle collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, occupies an enviable patch of land in central Bangkok that's adjacent to scores of shops and restaurants and effortlessly tied to the rest of the city by SkyTrain. Gracious service and cool, well appointed accommodations greet guests in this modern high rise. Restaurants create a range of experiences, from the lofty, formal Sui Sian to the ground-level Terrace, which offers a shady immersion in Bangkok street life where prime people watching accompanies an ice-cold Chang beer.

I’ve been going to this hotel for many years now, sometimes renting a room or visiting the outside area, now known as the Quad. It’s brilliant just to sit there with a beer and watch the world go by however, it would sadly appear that the outside area to the Quad is smoker friendly. There is an inside bar and sitting area if you don’t like the smell AND damage of second hand smoke but yet again in the Land of Smiles where you can for a change sit outside in the evening and enjoy the warm weather is dominated by smokers . They, the smokers have a choice. Sit inside or outside but us non smokers do not have a choice. We have to sit inside the air conditioned hotel bar whilst the smokers get the best deal. It would be nice ( and fair) if the hotel IS to continue allowing smoking in a public space designate a smoking area in the outside Quad so both smokers and NON smokers can enjoy the Quad.

I've been staying at the Landmark Hotel for a few years now. I love the location, nightlife, customer service and smoking rooms.

The Landmark is an long established hotel in Central Bangkok. The service is excellent, beds, room comfort and bathrooms are excellent. The pool is a bit old style but perfectly adequate. The fitness center was across the street, which is very inconvenient. So anyone wanting in house fitness/sauna will not be very happy. Rooms could be improved with an entertainment system refresh, and would benefit from smart tvs for YouTube, and streaming services . As well as putting in bigger screens. Staff are excellent and housekeeping also keep the rooms spotless.

Not the 5 star service experience, there are much better 5* hotels in Bangkok. The breakfast is particularly disappointing, no one greets you to show you a table or asks you what you’d like to drink. No fresh fruit juice available. You have to get someone’s attention each time to get a drink and yesterday the assistant forgot my coffee not once but twice! Really unimpressed with this hotel,
