The Landmark Bangkok

A return to our Bangkok home at the traditional Landmark did not disappoint and following our previous reviews, we are back again. Still undergoing renovation in sections, the new works around the central atrium look splendid. Check in was conducted at club level and off to our room on the 27th floor near to the lifts. Unfortunately a room issue led to a quick room change to a bigger room, but well handled by the club reception. The transfer to the premium corner club room was spacious and had all the usual amenities you’d expect from the Landmark with great views across the Bangkok skyline. The club lounge was just as amazing as before with inclusive food morning and evening, staff here were very friendly and attentive. Food remained high quality and changed every evening. The lounge would definitely benefit from a repaired or new toaster however, which took a long time to toast bread and then only one side or the other. The lobby is again closed for renovations, so pedestrian entry/exit is via the new eateries atrium, much easier than before. Taxi drop offs are at the side of the hotel. The hotel features the London style bar, now in an open plan “Quad” area but also includes a new bakery, Italian outlet, burger outlet, and Greenhouse local food restaurant, this one being open conveniently 24 hours a day. We tried the latter, extremely tasty curries, great early hours service and reasonably priced for a hotel. I can only imagine that when the renovations are complete, the lobby will look amazing if the other recent improvements are to go by. The pool area on the 9th floor still maintained the relaxing ambiance with the improvements suggested on a previous review. But the attention to detail by staff was now excellent. Bar/snacks service was readily available at reasonable cost and the staff here were again just perfect. We had to use the Jiva Spa again, no change here, still excellent, soooo relaxing and professional with their massages and not much more cost wise than street massage shops. Staff are the biggest Landmark asset here, very attentive, professional and friendly. It is the staff here that make this hotel the best, with special mention to the club floor hosts, just perfect. The Landmark still remains our Bangkok home and we will be back, all booked for a special birthday early next year when we will try out the Landmarks’ Rib Room restaurant. We can’t wait! BeLuLondon.

Thank you for another fantastic stay at The Landmark. I enjoyed my time here and the hotel really feels like it is one of the Landmarks of Bangkok to me. The location is great, easy access to the BTS and I enjoyed walking in Benjakitti Park and a daily visit to Terminal 21. The staff really make the hotel and I was very well looked after by everyone I came into contact with. I had a minor room issue and once I raised it, the resolution exceeded my expectations which doesn’t happen very often. I also enjoyed visiting the new restaurants off the lobby and I’m already planning my next trip to The Landmark.

We stayed in this hotel some 20 years ago and returned this summer. Rooms very similar and showing their age, in need of renovation but well maintained and housekeeping were excellent. Reception staff are excellent and very helpful. Breakfast spread was good but the staff could be more friendly and willing to listen to requests more. Security staff were always smiling and a good natured salute for the guests on leaving/ arriving. Bangkok is a bustling city but sadly the number of weed shops makes this area of Sukhumvit not an area I would stay again if I returned. The Thai Food in the Quad downstairs was superb!

I dont know where to start. Everything so far has just been...more then perfect. From the enthousiastic guards at the front door, who always greet me with the biggest smile, to the sweet, humble people that run this hotel. Ive never felt more loved then in this past week ( and I have one more week to go! 🤗) Everything is top shelf: the beautiful, spacious lobby, the view at the 31 st floor, my luxurious room at the 29th (powered curtains and full dimming of lights), but its the little things that put this hotel far at the top of everything Ive ever been to. I always go on vacation alone, but Ive met a lady friend here in Bangkok who I absolutely adore and she stayed in my room last night. After sleeping in late (the nightlife in BKK will grab you firmly and never let go) Ive asked housekeeping to clean my room. And they saw me leave my room with my lady. After we came back hours later, I nearly cried from the sweet gesture. They've cleaned my room, but folded the bed open on both sides, and put the teddybear I won for my lady on her pillow. 🥲 Dont EVER change you fantastic people of this hotel. You touched me deeply and I will come back as soon as possible!
