Great improvement

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We have been staying at Landmark for several years, and after this year’s renovations, everything is even better — from the service and F&B to the rooms and overall accommodations. Congratulations to Francis, the great General Manager, and his entire team. 5 stars ++ from us! Derek & Ornucha Russell

Hard to beat for the money

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This is probably one of the best value 5 star hotels in the world. As a long term repeat guest I have to say for the money very hard to beat. Currently coming to the end of a substantial refurbishment. Personally I liked it as it was but I guess I just don’t like change! Slightly bizarrely (in my humble opinion) the only area that needed a refurbishment is the pool area which is looking somewhat tired and with only 20 or so sunbeds. …And an unused sundeck above that is just left empty! Refurb this area too with some extra sunbeds…and maybe smoking area? Just a suggestion! Nonetheless…great hotel, amazing staff…and I mean amazing. In 20 or so visits not once have I ever uncounted anything but delightful charming helpful staff. Clevis on reception is fantastic. Smart intelligent young man who knows just how to take care of regular guests. Rooms on the higher floors on the quieter side of the building away from Nana are recommended.

Great location to explore Bangkok

Great hotel in central Bangkok. Warm and friendly staff, amazing buffet breakfast. General all round good base when visiting Bangkok. However, rooms are a little dated for what would be expected from a 5 Start property. Conceige and limousine team happy to organise travel and trips.

Best hotel!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Best hotel in Bangkok, great service, lovely burger at the quad. The terrace is my favorite place in the world just to hang out, watching the world pass by. Rooms are very nice and clean. Club floor and lounge ar so good. Best avocado sandwich in town. Staff is wonderful. I spent more than 100 nights here for a reason. Landmark is best!

Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We booked this hotel for 2 nights at the end of our Vietnam and Thailand trip and were really disappointed, it was by far the worst hotel of our trip. At check in we were told we’d have to pay for an extra bed for our son despite booking a room for 3. Eventually a manager agreed to waive the charge. We asked if there was any way we could extend our check out time from 4-6 as we had a late flight but were told there was no way as the hotel was full- fair enough we thought. When it came the bed was small. We had booked a club room and because of the bed situation at check in they upgraded us to a corner room. The room was very tired and as we later found out despite being on the 25th floor had no soundproofing, it felt like we were in a nightclub. My husband went down to complain, they offered to change rooms but it was very late, they then agreed to us checking out late the following day which made no sense as apparently they were full! That annoyed me as clearly this was possible, the were just being inflexible.. The club lounge was ok, but canapé options weird, no Thai food, instead things like meatballs, fried chicken and cheese. Pool was quite small and very busy. There was no personal service at the hotel, no greetings. It was very odd, When we checked out they tried to charge us for mini bar items we hadn’t used. To be fair the Manager did ask to speak to us to apologise for the noise which my husband had complained about and offer us an upgrade if we go back, but we won’t be. For a 5 star hotel service was severely lacking, it is due an upgrade and I wouldn’t recommend. We stayed at The Lancaster at the beginning of our trip which was head and shoulders above the Landmark.
