The Peninsula Bangkok provided us with an excepcional experience in Bangkok. Personel were kind and attentive, room was spacious and wel curated. Food was delicious. Beautiful flower decoration around the hotel and an amazing setting at the Chao Phraya River. Hotel boat service added an extra charm to the hotel.

Luxurious

The Peninsula Bangkok is a luxurious hotel. The view of the river and lights from our room was beautiful. Our room itself was stunning: large bedroom with sitting area, huge bathroom, dressing area. The buffet breakfast had anything and everything one could possibly desire. It is a 10-minute walk or a free shuttle to Iconsiam mall (every half hour). Upon request is a free shuttle to two other places across the canal.

A relaxing respite in the middle of an active, exciting city.

Awesome hotel in the heart of Bangkok. Great service. Nice rooms. Welcoming pool. Nimble ferry boats that quickly take hotel guests to the nearby luxury mall, nearby riverfront restaurants, and even the central skyway station. Probably the leading hotel in Bangkok, at least while the Mandarin Oriental is being refurbished.

Faultless - Exemplary Stay at the Peninsula Bangkok

We were greeted at the airport as arranged and transported in 7 series BMW through very busy Bangkok to the hotel. On arrival we were whisked straight up to our room which was a spacious, pristine Grand Deluxe room with sweeping views of the river. Some people have noted that the rooms are dated. On one hand I would agree in so far as they are certainly not contemporary, however they are decorated classically in warm tones and immaculately maintained. After a sound sleep we had breakfast the next day in the River Cafe & Terrace restaurant. Staff go out of their way to seat you where you choose. We opted for outside on the terrace which although busy, manages to be a relaxing space which is a lovely way to start the day. The food offering has something for everyone and is of a high quality and plentiful. The pool area is charming and tranquil. Again, staff stand out. They help you to find a lounger ensuring that you are happy and comfortable. Service is efficient and friendly. It is a lovely place to unwind. We also ate at the Thiptara Thai restaurant which is located by the river. It is really pretty at night. The food was excellent and the staff even better. The common vein running through this review is about how wonderful the staff are at the Peninsular. We had interaction with many and without exception they were some of the best. We have visited Bangkok many times over the years and last stayed at the Peninsula around 15 years ago. We wish that we had returned sooner, however we are glad that at last we did. We look forward to staying again soon. Our stay ended by being transported back to the airport where we were met, helped with checking in for our flight before saying our warm goodbyes!

As Thailand should be

As usual, the best hotel chain in Asia. Everything perfection. Prices are to be expected but in no way abusive. Staff with the classic Thai courtesy and hospitality. Will come back again and again
