Rooms: Excellent Service: Excellent Location: Excellent However, it is not quiet at night, which is why I stay in a hotel. If you want to party all night, the Riva is definitely a good choice. A very nice hotel – but it doesn't do what you normally expect from a hotel, especially if it's a little more expensive. To offer a reasonably quiet place to sleep. I travel to Bangkok regularly and am looking for a replacement for my previous hotel, which is getting a little old after 30 years. I'm from Berlin and relatively tough. Okay hotels in BKK start at around EUR 30-40. I paid EUR 180/night for the Premium River Room at the Riva Surya Bangkok (and luckily only for one night). In front of the hotel, there is a terrace with seating and a pool (behind which is the river). At check-in, I was assured that the terrace would close at 10:00 p.m. When I asked after midnight when that would be, the tourists on the terrace (the group at the table and to the left under the tent roof in the photo) were asked to keep the noise down. You can imagine how well that worked – and as I said, I live in Berlin-Kreuzberg and can put up with a lot. For the hotel: there is such a great invention: "noise protection windows" – you could think about that in a quiet moment.

I absolutely loved this hotel. This was the first place we stayed when arriving into Thailand and I wanted something specific. Somewhere clean, comfortable, a little bit luxurious but with some Thai charm rather than a hotel that could be anywhere in the world. I also wanted to be in a cultural part of town, near the palace, temples and river. I wanted all of this for a good price and this place hit thr nail on the head. The interior is beautiful, rooms so comfortable, clean and well furnished. Great pool to cool down after a hot city day and lovely bar/restaurant too. Staff were super friendly and helpful. This was the perfect place to rest and start out trip. Would definitely stay again if I was ever in Bangkok.

The stay at this hotel was just great in every way. Very Clean and comfy. AC works good and the river view is also great. The personal is very friendly and caring. The offered services are good and priceworthy. We did a great Massage for one hour and it was great. The gym is big and clean. The restaurant is very good with a wide variety of foods. The Lokal food doesnt differ to much from the street prices, so its worth a try ! Also the waiters were very friendly. We had a good stay at the Restaurant in the evening. The waiter Ton served us very nicely .
