Incredible Massage by Bua at Shangri La Bangkok Review: My spa experience at Shangri-La Bangkok was unforgettable thanks to Bua, an exceptional therapist. Her massage and facial was not only deeply relaxing but also incredibly precise – she knew exactly where to focus and combined skill with a caring touch. I left feeling renewed, lighter, and completely at ease. A big thank you also to Miew at reception for her warm and professional welcome. Together, they made this visit truly outstanding. Highly recommended! Would you like me to make one even more emotional and personal (e.g., “best massage of my life” style) to stand out on Tripadvisor?

Amazing location with staff with the attitude that nothing is too much trouble. Ideal location for all the major sights and with transport links, Saphan Taksin BTS Station and a wealth of local restaurants. The Hotel's taxi boat will drop off at Iconsiam and return every hour.

Great luxurious resort with a good experience and great views. The breakfast was also very tasty and authentic. I recommend to all people seeking an unforgettable experience.

The Shangri-La, Bangkok is a beautiful hotel - we were welcomed with a delicious drink and taken to check-in. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication with our room rate hence the good rating rather than excellent. We booked 2 x river view rooms with balconies direct on the Shangri-La website and according to our booking confirmation, this also included the Horizon Club facilities. However, on arrival we were told that this was a specific Black Friday offer that the Shangri-La hotel chain were running at the time, but didn't apply to our booking, despite being stated on the confirmation email that it did. We were all tired and wanted to get to our rooms so agreed to pay the additional and substantial costs to upgrade but were advised that we would need to change rooms and no longer have balconies with the river view! We asked to speak to a reservation manager who was standing nearby. She was very pleasant but not able to offer club facilities (even if we paid the additional cost) without moving our rooms but did offer to include breakfast because of all of the confusion. This aside, the hotel is on the riverside and perfectly located for both the ferry and the sky train - our rooms were absolutely beautiful although the bathroom could do with upgrading, it was spotlessly clean. The riverside view from our balconies was amazing and we loved sitting outside and watching all of the hustle and bustle on the riverside. We arranged our trips (Grand Palace and temple tour of Bangkok with a private guide and we also did a food tour in tuk tuks - this was such good family fun!) so that we had lots of opportunities to use one of the two beautiful swimming pools in the afternoon when the humidity was at its hottest - clean pool towels were always readily available. This was lovely and there was always a lifeguard presence for safety. The life guards always greeted all of us and were very friendly as were the waiters around the pool area - drinks are reasonably priced compared to some of the other hotels we stayed at on this trip. The buffet breakfast is one of the best we have ever had in terms of selection - the chefs and catering team are second to none here! We didn't miss Club access in the end as there is a really nice street food cafe/bar opposite the hotel and on the corner of the main shopping street called 'Tuta Mookrata' - we went there for drinks and a few mini plate snacks for late lunch as the staff were so welcoming and it was really nice for us all to relax and take in the street atmosphere over a beer/cocktail after our busy sightseeing days. To summarise, we would definitely stay again although I would email the hotel directly to confirm what the advertised room rates include prior to booking.

We stayed here as a family of 6 - I picked it as we were able to get interconnecting rooms. The photos make the rooms look a bit dated, however I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The bay window was beautiful and had a sofa in it so you could sit and enjoy the view. We were three in each room and the set up of the extra bed was very comfortable. The service was excellent and the pool area was beautiful. Breakfast buffet was impressive. Would highly recommend.

I noticed that I had lost all the documentation pertaining to my booking as I was checking in at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok. It did not seem to matter, since they had all the details of my booking, and to my great surprise I was given an upgrade in the King Kungthrup Wing. An unforgettable experience.
