Nice place to stay in Bangkok
Came for a holiday here with family of 3. Wonderful place to stay in Bangkok. It’s near the Icon Siam mall. Boat service is on time & reliable. Pool is overlooking the Chao Phraya River. Staff are attentive and good. Breakfast is good too. Overall the stay was nice & would recommend.

Some guests are treated better than others
I was planning to book 40 rooms for an upcoming business trip but having watched the breakfast staff show obvious favouritism to certain guests has annoyed me sufficient to move the booking to the Hilton opposite . The prime riverside tables were said to be taken but no one appeared for 30 mins . Shocking . The hotel is fine and the service generally good but the premises is tired and in need of a complete refurbishment . Having viewed 10 plus 5 stars in Bangkok over 3 days this is by a clear margin the most in need of a make over .

Her massage and facial was not only deeply relaxing but also incredibly precise – she knew exactly where to focus and combined skill with a caring touch. Amazing Staff and Location
Amazing location with staff with the attitude that nothing is too much trouble. Ideal location for all the major sights and with transport links, Saphan Taksin BTS Station and a wealth of local restaurants. The Hotel's taxi boat will drop off at Iconsiam and return every hour.

Great resort

I noticed that I had lost all the documentation pertaining to my booking as I was checking in at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok. It did not seem to matter, since they had all the details of my booking, and to my great surprise I was given an upgrade in the King Kungthrup Wing. An unforgettable experience.
