Board a private speedboat bound for The Siam Hotel at Saphan Taksin central pier and leave Bangkok’s chaos behind. This urban retreat, part of the Legend collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, is a one-of-a-kind marriage of traditional Thai culture and delicious Art Deco ornamentation designed by “Architectural Digest’s Top 100” recipient Bill Bensley and overseen by Krissada Sukosol Clapp, a Thai pop singer and actor who won the country’s equivalent of a Best Actor Oscar. The resort sits on three acres of riverfront land in the royal Dusit district and draws inspiration from Paris’s Musée d’Orsay. Guests are blanketed in tranquility in oversized suites teeming with antiques.

The Siam is one of the most luxurious hotels I’ve stayed in. It feels less like a hotel and more like stepping into the private world of an art collector — quiet, beautiful, full of character, and made for people who truly love art, design, and atmosphere. It is completely different from the large luxury hotels in Bangkok and feels deeply personal and special. I would especially recommend the Thai restaurant at the hotel. The food is incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of clean and refined flavors. The chef is wonderful, the service is impeccable, and the team is one of the warmest and kindest I’ve experienced. There is something very calm, elegant, and personal about the entire place.

What We Adore Review Few hotels capture the spirit of Bangkok quite like The Siam. Hidden along the Chao Phraya River, this intimate urban sanctuary feels worlds away from the city’s intensity. Designed with cinematic elegance, the property blends Art Deco glamour, antique collections, and lush tropical courtyards into one of the most distinctive luxury stays in Southeast Asia. Our stay felt like stepping into a beautifully curated private residence – serene suites, impeccable service, and a riverside atmosphere that slows time. Whether drifting through the palm-filled gardens, dining by the water, or watching longtail boats pass at sunset, The Siam offers a rare sense of calm in the heart of Bangkok. A true hidden gem - and one of the most memorable hotels in the city. Read the full review on What We Adore Magazine

From the moment you enter this ultimate of luxury, you will be marvelled by the decoration, the quality, the luxury, the staff, the service, the room (omg the room!), and the food. The food (Michelin rated) is out of this world. We simply can not fault this place and we have stayed in some fabulous places. A boutique hotel in every sense. Impeccable

We loved this resort, low rise, tranquil beauty in heart of very busy city. The staff were excellent, the food was excellent, our room was very spacious and comfortable, no notes. Absolutely the favorite part of property was the private pier (which also serves end of day cocktails bar) and the private boat shuttle that travels along the river dropping guests off at various destinations. Lovely way to see the city, very easy way to get to dinner or shopping or sightseeing.
