Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok

What a fabulous place to stay in the Siam area. The hotel is clean and calm and the staff is exceptional. Our room was spotless. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were happy to see you every morning, more like friends than staff. The pool bar and food was delicious. The bar in the main building was a great place to unwind every evening after a hot day out. It rained one day and we just crossed the road and shopped and ate at Paragon. The fact that you didn’t have to get a ta in a busy city was a bonus. The hotel also arranged a tour on our behalf and we were fortunate enough to have a great guide who made it a perfect day out. The hotel is exceptional and I would not stay anywhere else.

The staff of Addition at Siam Kempinski Hotel are always smiling and attentive. They respond promptly to customer requests and provide appropriate service. The chef is highly skilled and prepares delicious meals for guests. In particular, the dish ‘fried crispy egg with crab meat’ is excellent; I suggest adding it to the breakfast menu. We chose this hotel because it was listed as pet-friendly. The hotel itself is pleasant, central location, clean and comfortable rooms. However, at check-in we were told not only about a 2,000 baht cleaning fee, which is understandable, but also that we had to pay an additional full night, around 17,000 baht, because the room supposedly would not be usable or sellable for another day. We refused to pay for a second night on that basis. Instead, we spent 2 to 3 hours finding another place for our dog and then returned to use the room we had already paid for. For a hotel that presents itself at this level, such a major condition should be stated very clearly before booking. We were left disappointed, so unfortunately our overall rating is only 2 stars.
