Reviews for The St. Regis Bangkok

Great experience at the St. Regis Bangkok

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Our family took a week plus trip to (one of my favorite cities) Bangkok, and we stayed at the St. Regis on the first part of our trip and it was incredibly memorable. As usual, the staff was fantastic. Every department from the Butler team (Sebastian, For, Gio and Menn), reception, the restaurant staff, Concierge, and bell hops were really amazing. A special call out to the Concierge team led by Kanda. I started planning our activities about a month prior and sent so many emails and questions to their team and they were always responsive, flexible and patient. Thank You Concierge team, you made our experience that much more incredible in Bangkok. The breakfast team was equally helpful and thank you to Mew, Decha, and the many others (sorry I don't remember all the names). Our room was really spacious and the house cleaning team kept it spotless all the team. The location was perfect for us as it is connected to a BTS line, walking distance to several malls including the massive CentralWorld that had quality restaurants up and down every level. We loved the Butler service and receiving little surprises in our room especially after long and hot days outside exploring the city. One example was finding a cold pot of sweeten butterfly pea tea waiting for us, such a nice touch. I can not heap enough praise about this property and high recommend. We were all very sad to check out but we will be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unmatched Luxury Experience in the Heart of Bangkok

From the moment I arrived at The St. Regis Bangkok, I knew this stay would be something truly special — and it exceeded every expectation. Location & Convenience: The direct connection to the BTS Skytrain is an absolute game-changer. No taxis, no traffic — getting around this vibrant city couldn’t be easier or more seamless, and it’s a rare convenience you won’t find at many luxury hotels. Staff & Service: Every single member of staff I encountered was the embodiment of professionalism — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly without ever feeling rehearsed. They remembered your name, anticipated your needs, and made you feel like a true guest rather than just another booking. Rooms & Upgrade: I was thrilled to be upgraded to a suite, which was absolutely stunning — spacious, beautifully appointed, and impeccably maintained. The sheer size and elegance of the room set the tone for the entire stay. Facilities: The pool is a serene oasis in the middle of the city — perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The gym is exceptionally well-equipped and could rival any dedicated fitness facility in Bangkok. Butler Service — The Crown Jewel: Nothing quite prepared me for the level of personalised care delivered by the butler team. Having my garments professionally pressed each evening and returned to my room ready for the next morning is the kind of thoughtful, seamless service that you simply don’t forget. It’s the detail that separates a great hotel from an extraordinary one. The St. Regis Bangkok has earned a permanent place at the top of my list. I will return without hesitation — there is simply no better place to stay in this city.

Exceptional Service From Start to Finish

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I recently stayed at The St. Regis Bangkok for three nights with my two adult children (aged 21 and 19), and it was one of the most impressive hotel experiences we have had. We booked a Deluxe Suite and, as a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, I was delighted to receive an upgrade to an Astor Suite before arrival. The reservation team acknowledged my statusin advance and handled everything professionally from the outset. The hotel’s location is excellent. It sits in one of Bangkok’s most upmarket areas, directly opposite the Royal Bangkok Sports Club and conveniently connected to the BTS Skytrain. CentralWorld is only a short walk away, with Siam Paragon a little further beyond, making it an ideal base for both sightseeing and shopping. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the service. From arrival to departure, the staff consistently anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Every interaction, whether with the doormen, front desk team, housekeeping staff, or butler service, was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. As suite guests, we had access to the hotel’s butler service, which was excellent. A small issue arose when the battery in our room safe failed. Within five minutes, a member of staff was in the room and the problem was completely resolved. What impressed me even more was that several staff members continued to apologise for the inconvenience over the following days, despite the issue having been fixed immediately. Their commitment to guest satisfaction was remarkable. My daughter summed it up perfectly when she said, “This might be the best service we have ever had.” Having stayed in luxury hotels around the world, she is not easily impressed, which makes that statement particularly meaningful. The Astor Suite itself was outstanding. It was exceptionally spacious, with two genuine queen-sized beds rather than the smaller doubles often found in hotel rooms. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a large bathtub, separate walk-in shower, and every amenity we could have needed. The swimming pool on the 15th floor is another highlight. Overlooking the golf course, it provides a peaceful retreat from the city below. The pool staff were every bit as attentive as the rest of the hotel team, and thoughtful touches such as complimentary sunscreen further enhanced the experience. Overall, I was extremely impressed by both the quality of the property and, more importantly, the exceptional staff who make it special. Luxury hotels can often have beautiful buildings and impressive facilities, but truly memorable service is much harder to find. The St. Regis Bangkok delivers both. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again on any future visit to Bangkok.

A disappointed stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We have been staying at this hotel every time we visit Bangkok for many years. Our repeated stays have been the results of the hotel's good location and great service provided by the staff. However, our stay and experience this time left us with disappointments. It appears that this hotel has experienced a turnover of management and staff in many functional areas that the "personal-touch" service has been lost. Our experience this time found many things to be impersonal and "mechanical", as well as a systemic breakdown with the hotel's room assignment. We still love the delicious food and great service being provided by the dining staff. Hope this hotel will change for the better.

Disappointing Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I would like to share my recent experience, as it was unfortunately far below the luxury standards expected, especially from the brand. Upon arrival around 6 PM, during check-in, the agent requested a deposit. We informed her that we preferred to pay On spot and don’t post anything on the room. Her response was, “Sorry, this is not allowed, but since it’s your first visit I will allow it.” The way she said this felt rude and not professional. She asked whether we were celebrating any occasion. My husband mentioned that we were on this trip to celebrate my birthday (which had been two days earlier). Although she wished me a happy birthday, there was no further personalized gesture. There was no acknowledgment from the butler, no welcome card in the room, and no meaningful recognition of the occasion. We requested a nightly upgrade to a golf course view, which was confirmed, but the room was mainly a pool view with only a partial golf view; if it could not be provided, it would have been better to decline it, and although I had added a preference for a high-floor room in my profile, I was assigned to the 17th floor, which did not match my preference. Despite being Marriott elite members (Titanium and Platinum), we did not feel recognized or valued. We were not addressed by our first names, even though we had expressed this preference to the front office. Additionally, the farewell card left by the butler mentioned our last names instead of our preferred names. Regarding the room condition, the overall cleanliness and maintenance did not meet luxury standards. It would be advisable for the property to undergo renovation. Small details also reflected a lack of attention to guest preferences. For example, I had arranged the pillows aside according to my preference, but they were placed back on the bed upon returning to the room. During our two-night stay, there were welcome amenities, but no welcome card and no turndown service on either evening, despite turndown amenities being expected. Overall, it did not feel like a luxury hotel. I really like the brand, so this stay was very disappointing.
