The Sukhothai Bangkok

Sukhothai is remarkable. The location is excellent, it’s exceptionally clean, it’s spacious, it’s slick, it’s all those things and more. But, what makes it remarkable is the fact you’re in the middle of an enormously busy, kinda chaotic, dense city and from the moment you pass the gate to a long and aesthetic driveway… you feel like you’re somewhere out of an episode of White Lotus. In fact… that was the search prompt and gosh does it deliver. We had a club suite so I’m not sure what the other rooms were like but this suite is outstanding. From the wooden floors and panelling trimmed with a little bling, to the art work dotted around the place, to the very generous welcome treats, excellent in-room features like Dyson hairdryers and split vanity to the beds the size of small continents it just forces you to breathe out. The ambience is very calming. The furniture feels high quality and touchable, it’s impeccably clean, and even the pre-programmed light settings are perfection depending on your mood. The view of the garden ringed pool, itself enormous, was a welcome break from the pace of a very busy city. That pool is what most other hotels would aspire to. Food, beverage, services, fantastic. Last, but most importantly, the staff… we were sad to say goodbye to them. Sure they’re professional, impeccably presented, they meet your needs before you know you have them but they’re also so kind, engaging and friendly. Special mention to the club lounge team who we saw daily and Bus in particular who makes you feel like you’re with family. He’s a special guy and I very much hope he’s here when we come back because we will miss his charming, funny and clever conversation. Aom was another we met and who made a strong impression when she checked us in with the kind of personalised service you only dream of. The pool staff, the guys at the doors, the whole team who make themselves invisible while also being a constant presence, they’re all exceptional. I can’t wait to come back. I’ve been so lucky to have experienced some amazing hotels around the world and I’ve never said flawless as many times as I have at Sukhothai. This has become my favourite place to stay, ever. If you can manage it, stay here, it’s worth every hour you’ve worked to save for it :) I can’t take pictures of the room that are better than what the team could take so I’ve just dropped a couple. Flawless.

I spent time at the hotel in facilities such as room, swimming pool, and SPA. While using the facilities, I got help from many people. POOK at the front desk who kindly helped me with the whole process, NUCH who always welcomed me with a smile in the pool, RIN and TANGMO who massage me carefully at SPA, I rested well and went back. Thank you.

We stayed at The Sukhothai Bangkok for our first two nights in Bangkok with our two children, and it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. What impressed us the most was not just the beautiful hotel, but the genuine kindness and exceptional service from the staff. Their warmth made our family feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to Ms. Pampim at the front desk. She was incredibly efficient, professional, and genuinely kind. She welcomed our children with such warmth that they felt at home immediately. She truly represents the hotel in the best possible way. Even on the day we checked out, she came to see us off and wished us goodbye. We truly appreciated her kindness and thoughtfulness until the very end. We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Bus from the Club Lounge. His service was simply outstanding. Not only did he take wonderful care of our family, but we saw him providing the same exceptional level of care and attention to every guest. His professionalism, sincerity, and kindness left a lasting impression on us. He is truly one of the best hospitality professionals we have ever met. Thank you, Mr. Bus, for coming to say goodbye on the day we checked out. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us. We had such a happy and unforgettable stay, and we will definitely be back. We can’t wait to see you all again!

You would think a low rise hotel couldn’t compete with a 40th floor swimming pool and 55th floor restaurant. But the Sukhothai is, in our view a lot better. The restaurants, the pool are all wonderful. The staff add to the experience, more friendly and less false, than some of the other 5 stars. Definitely in our favourites category.
