My husband and I stayed for a week at the Harborside Hotel & Spa. The whole place is lovely and very well maintained. All staff from check -in through housekeeping and pool side service were great. There are two very nice pools to choose from and the view is fantastic. There are a lot of families staying there so be prepared for that. We would have enjoyed an area that was adults only - either one of the pools or a lounge area - to have the option of a kid free space on the property. Two things that surprised us- they do not have smart tv's in the rooms so it's the cable access only, and we could not order in room dining for lunch (breakfast and dinner only).

This hotel is very neat we were staying in one of the lower rooms but originally we were staying at the holiday inn here in bar harbor but they were completely booked which was disapointing because we had already gotten all of the bags out of the car after driving from Boston and we were told that we would have to be moved to another hotel. We were told it was an upgrade but we got lucky we had to almost yell at the staff because we had booked a balcony room with 2 beds and they said that we were getting a room with 1 bed and no view which was maddening considering we paid extra. Also the hotel constantly smells like raw seafood. Shout out to Luca the bell boy he was very nice and made us feel welcome !

This is a lovely hotel within walking distance to shops and restaurants. It is beautifully maintained and clean. The staff is pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the onsite restaurant, the pools, and the path to bar island.

This is a nice place right on the water and located close to everything. What I didn’t realize when I booked is this is really meant for families. There was not an adult only pool or whirlpool, the bar was open limited times, and the restaurant was family oriented. So if a family with a dog would definitely recommend. Also would recommend being clear what is included or not when you reserve. I thought breakfast was included. I’m sure this was my mistake but just double check the meals included, the view, etc. Room was spotless, cute nautical theme, and plenty big for the two of us. Balcony just overlooked the parking lot and other guest rooms.

What a beautiful hotel. The front desk attendant, Anna was very efficient and kind. She gave us a wonderful overview of the hotel and made sure we were comfortable. She arranged the valet to escort us with our luggage and personally walked us outside to show us around. She was friendly and courteous. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, clean and quiet. The hotel is so convent to town we walked everywhere. The amenities are great and the view of the harbor gorgeous. I would highly recommend any Opal brand, and I have stayed at several. This was one of my favorites. My only regret was not staying longer❤️👏👏
