Harborside Hotel Spa & Marina

This is a nice place right on the water and located close to everything. What I didn’t realize when I booked is this is really meant for families. There was not an adult only pool or whirlpool, the bar was open limited times, and the restaurant was family oriented. So if a family with a dog would definitely recommend. Also would recommend being clear what is included or not when you reserve. I thought breakfast was included. I’m sure this was my mistake but just double check the meals included, the view, etc. Room was spotless, cute nautical theme, and plenty big for the two of us. Balcony just overlooked the parking lot and other guest rooms.

What a beautiful hotel. The front desk attendant, Anna was very efficient and kind. She gave us a wonderful overview of the hotel and made sure we were comfortable. She arranged the valet to escort us with our luggage and personally walked us outside to show us around. She was friendly and courteous. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, clean and quiet. The hotel is so convent to town we walked everywhere. The amenities are great and the view of the harbor gorgeous. I would highly recommend any Opal brand, and I have stayed at several. This was one of my favorites. My only regret was not staying longer❤️👏👏

From check-in to check-out we loved every minute of our stay. The hotel is grand yet not intimidating. The staff exceptionally friendly, especially the front desk and bellmen. The management are very visible and involved. We loved our room which was spotless. An amazing location in the heart of Bar Harbor yet the property was always quiet and a great place to relax.

For the price, they supply everything a traveler needs. Location is perfect for strolling downtown or for popping in and out of Acadia. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restroom didn’t appear to be cleaned very well in our room.

My husband and I had an amazing experience! We are big Opal Collection enthusiasts, and ever since seeing a photo of Harborside inside the elevator at The Sandpearl (Clearwater Beach), we have wanted to go there. Well, we finally made it happy for my 40th birthday. I was so appreciative to find a Bottle of wine and birthday card upon entering our beautiful suite, and then I discovered a complimentary Nest cancel with a note from the GM thanking us our our loyalty. I love the Nest candles because it reminds me of magical family vacations at The Sandpearl. That was so nice and we were thankful. We are proud to always choose an Opal Collection property when we travel. This year, we have visited the Lake Placid Lodge, The ReefHouse (Key Largo), Sand Pearl, and now the iconic Harborside. We wanted to buy one of the Opal Collection hats we saw the crew wearing, but were told they aren’t available for purchase. Haha I need to get one for my hubby!
