There are many European cruises leaving from Barcelona so we get to stay at our favorite hotel, the Alexandra. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. Juandro is on top of it all and welcomed our kids and grandkids with open arms while we were out sightseeing. They always have wonderful suggestions to enjoy Barcelona. We love Barcelona and will be back to the Alexandra.

My husband and I had stayed at the Alexandra Barcelona hotel during our last trip to Barcelona prior to Covid. At that time, we had such an amazing experience that we booked it again for our current trip. With our past trip, everyone here was so amazing that I was concerned they may not have maintained such a high bar of excellence. I am happy to say that staff did not disappoint as they are still amazing! From the welcome email to all the help that they provided while we were there, we left feeling valued. Our room was so clean and charming as well as comfortable. We are hoping to return to Barcelona again one day, and will most definitely book the beautiful Alexandra Barcelona Hotel again when we do.

I have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Alexandra Hotel along with 28 colleagues for a team offsite. We all had the most fantastic time. The hotel is in a great location (a few steps away from Passeig de Gracia, the fancy shopping district) and it really did feel like a quiet haven in the middle of the big bustling city. One thing I will say is that the staff at the hotel were what really made our stay. Every single person we spoke to was so polite, cheerful and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Leading up to our stay, I was working closely with the meetings and events team who were amazing. Sandra and her team do a fabulous job, are so responsive to emails and so unbelievably helpful, they made my job so easy. The conference facilities are wonderful too. We had a lovely sized meeting room with loads of natural light which opened directly onto the hotel’s patio / pool area where we would go for breaks and lunch. The catering was also amazing here. The Spanish omelette was absolutely to die for and my team absolutely loved all the cured meat that was provided too. There was so much food we all had to roll back to our respective countries! The rooms were simple and tasteful with comfortable firm beds. I was really impressed with my bathroom, half of which seemed to be taken up by the enormous (hot!) power shower. Not that I needed it but I noted that the bathroom facilities were also all adapted to suit people who might be slightly less able than myself. I can imagine some guests really appreciate that. The rooms are double glazed as well. My room looked over the street but I didn’t hear a thing which was great. Some rooms overlook the pool area too which is gorgeous. All in all, I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. Thank you all so much for a memorable stay in Barcelona. We all loved your hotel!!

We recently stayed at this Curio Collection property in Barcelona. Overall, it serves as a solid, comfortable base for exploring the city, though a few operational drawbacks kept it from being a seamless Hilton experience. The Positives: Prime Location & Quiet Comfort: The location is unbeatable for sightseeing. Despite being central, the room was remarkably comfortable and quiet, making for a great night's sleep. Welcoming Staff: Front desk staff were very pleasant and efficient during check-in. Terrace & Pool Area: The rooftop terrace area with the pool is a great feature and a nice place to relax after a day in the city. Areas for Improvement: Pool Shade: The terrace gets full sun for most of the day with almost no shade options until very late in the evening, making it tough to use during peak hours. Limited Dining Options: The main restaurant was closed for the entirety of our stay, which significantly limited on-site dining options. Breakfast was reasonable, but fairly standard and nothing special for a Curio property. Hilton Honors Recognition: There was no acknowledgment of Hilton Honors status at check-in or throughout the stay, nor any automatic upgrades offered (though the hotel was quite busy at the time).

Contemporary hotel in spotless condition in great location. Felt like i was 1 block from Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles location wise. Diamond status recognized and appreciated. Had AC issue first night. Promptly fixed 2nd day by Alessandro and Jean! Given extra HH points to compensate. Taxi overcharged me 4X+ for ride from train station. Martin and Sandra helped file complaint with local authority. Should have taken Uber ! Front desk staff in general excelled as evidenced by above incidents. Thanks much Martin, Sandra, Alessandro and Jean! Breakfast average for European hilton hotels which are typically all great. Eggs were cold because they are using conference room while restaurant rebuilt.
