Central to the hustle and bustle of downtown, El Palace Barcelona is located steps away from the exclusive Paseo de Gracia, the mythic Las Ramblas and the historical Gothic District, yet inside the hotel is a quiet haven of blissful elegance. Boasting one of the largest rooftop terrace in the city with a 360º view, indulging in a princely drink as the sun dips behind far-off cupolas, is a must. Feel the pulls of the history from 1919 when you are back in you spacious and neo-classical room, the huge marble bathroom in muted tones surprises as well as the original fire place, all combined with the state-of-the arts facilities.

We stayed 5 nights with family trip. Hotel was much smaller than I thought, Very small front desk tucked in by the entrance, mainly helped with concierge. Concierge was always there to help. This hotel is more than a pretty, nicely maintained clean room for old building, service was just amazing. 1. Location: Cannot think any better. Walking distance to Gaudi's house, Gothic quarter (great shopping, eating), main shopping area. Safe to walk around. 2. Service: Most memorable about this hotel was their service. I did not expect much of service but it turned out service was top notch, everywhere in the hotel. I was inquiring about tours, getting tickets etc and this hotel is THE only one responding within 6hrs for every email I sent. I couldn't get the tickets for Sagarada Familiar but hotel reserved the tickets for me, ready for us to pick up at the concierge desk. Concierge was always attentive, available to help. Room was cleaned twice daily in timely manner. 3. Room: I got junior suite which is facing great of the building. Window will not open all the way so you do not get much of the views, unfortunately. We requested for 2 twin, so they made into 2 twin stuck to each other (typical European hotel). Room has double size couch, working desk, separate walk-in closets, and large bathroom with 2 sink comes with large walk in shower stall and stand alone tub with beautiful classical chrome fixtures. We were traveling 5 weeks and has lots o luggage, but everything fits within the closets and was able to make comfortable stay. 4. Restaurants: We had beautiful breakfast in the back of the building in conservatory area (like a green house). Beautiful buffet, top notch quick service. Food quality was ok. We also had dinner at the roof top, which you MUST try. View were amazing (can see Segrada Famila from the rooftop), great service and live MUSIC. Guiltar/Violin music was SO good, you'd never want to miss. 5. Overall: If you can afford it, this is the only place to stop in Barcelona. Great doorman, great concierge, restaurant is not crowded and attendants are always available. I stayed at Bvlgari Tokyo, Peninsula Tokyo, Ritz Halfmoon bay, Ritz SF, Ritz Fukuoka in the past few years and top service was Bulvari Tokyo, Peninsula Tokyo, Ritz Fukuoka and this one so far. There are few steps into elevator so it might not be great option for the wheelchair or disabled. It's expensive hotel but service is what we paid for, I think. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Hotel El Palace Barcelona was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after. The concierge team were incredibly helpful, recommending some fantastic local tapas restaurants that allowed us to experience the very best of Barcelona’s food scene. Breakfast each morning was a delight, with a wonderful selection of high-quality dishes served in beautiful surroundings. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the rooftop pool and terrace. We spent many relaxing afternoons there enjoying the sunshine, accompanied by first-class service from the attentive and professional staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel combines timeless elegance with outstanding hospitality, making it one of the finest places we have ever stayed. We created some wonderful family memories during our visit and are already looking forward to returning as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone at Hotel El Palace Barcelona for making our stay so memorable.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at! I love history, opulence and professionalism and the El Palace knocked it out of the park on all three. The location is great, too!
