El Palace

My wife and I celebrated our 35th anniversary at this beautiful hotel in Barcelona, Spain. When we walked up to the front door, the doorman smiled at us and greeted us in Spanish, but we responded in English, and he greeted us again in English. His smile said, Welcome! The hotel is first class; yes, the furnishings are lovely, but it was the people who made the difference for us. My wife asked me if we could return for our next visit before we checked out. I said yes immediately. The hotel's rooftop was decorated with Christmas trim and smelled terrific. Our hotel room was like a small palace, and we loved it. The breakfast buffet features a wide selection of fruits, meats, eggs, and lots of tasty pastries. The staff was very attentive and offered us our choice of coffee—American or European. All of the dinners we enjoyed were excellent. We will be back!

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff were amazing. The hotel was our favorite part of our trip to Barcelona. The room was gorgeous, the food was wonderful, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect during our stay. We love Hotel El Palace and would come back to Barcelona just to stay there!

This hotel is absolutely the most impeccable hotel you’ll ever stay at in Spain. It definitely is rated one of the world’s best. We absolutely loved the entire luxurious interior of the hotel from the restaurants to the bar to the rooftop restaurant to the incredible breakfast restaurant. The rooms were appointed extremely well and beautiful, beautiful with very comfortable bed and extremely well decorated. The staff, especially the concierge was outstanding. The Belman, the registration people and all of the servers were incredible in all the restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel better than any hotel we’ve ever stayed in across the world. The El Palace is a must!

This was the first stop on a two week Mediterranean vacation. What an excellent start to our trip. Naturally, we were exhausted after an all night flight from the states. We were cordially greeted by several doormen who ushered our bags to our room, then we were checked in by very friendly desk staff and then were welcomed to our room by a Guest Relations representative who gave us a quick orientation of the accommodations. We were instantly relaxed. The room was spacious and comfortable. Everything was impeccably clean. We had no trouble relaxing and feeling at home. The bed was very comfortable. Our room faced the street but was not noisy at all. The breakfast buffet was first class and the staff was very attentive to our needs. The rooftop bar/dining has excellent views but has a nice, cozy, private feel. The concierge desk was always staffed by at least two people who offered excellent recommendations for dining options and made all of our transportation arrangements. The hotel is very well located in walking distance to the old gothic city as well as Sagrada Familia. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent service, location and staff. We could walk to one of the best restaurants in the city. The staff were so helpful about everything and very personable. The rooms are large, impeccably designed and decorated. We had an excellent view. The most beautiful drapes in the room. Bathroom was large and spacious. It was hard to get in and out of the spacious tub to use the shower.
