Just returned from 5 nights at this hotel. Despite being on a main thoroughfare the hotel is very peaceful and quiet. Staff can’t do enough for you. Only downside at the moment is that the road outside the hotel is dug up meaning that taxis cannot pull up directly outside the door. The porters managed this well but the path is very narrow and busy. Great position for the gothic quarter and wonderful restaurants nearby which the concierge booked for us. We had a deluxe corner room. Bed was really comfortable. Room size not generous which is typical for a city centre hotel. Weather was too bad to use the roof top but it would be great on a sunny day.

Pros: - friendly, helpful staff - Clean rooms - Toiletries in the room are good quality. Robe and slippers provided. - Free towels on rooftop bar. Food also tasty. - Good location Cons: - The sun loungers on the rooftop bar you only have them for 2 hours then you have to come off. - The rooms don’t have balconies (maybe this is standard in Barcelona) - There are currently roadworks on the road where the hotel is, kinda annoying and spoils the ambiance a bit. - snacks and drinks from the mini room in the bar are expensive (€7 for a small popcorn, €5 for a bottle of water)

I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful boutique hotel! I think first and foremost, the staff here is beyond exceptional. They all are so very kind. I arrived quite early, (along with many others coming from a cruise), and the front desk staff did everything they could to get us into our rooms ASAP. They were professional, polite, kind, and so helpful. I booked a superior room and it was perfect. I believe the hotel has very recently been remodeled because as lovely as the pictures are, the decor is modern, fresh, and updated. The hotel smells so good,, and clean…as though it’s brand new and every square inch is absolutely SPOTLESS. The breakfast buffet is delightful! Room service was also perfect. Very reasonably priced, I might add. I think what will stick out the most when I look back on this hotel will be how beautiful the rooftop bar/restaurant, and pool was. On my arrival day, I spent some time having lunch there. Sergio was the bartender and I really can’t say enough nice things about him. He recommended places I should see, took time recommending wines they offered that I absolutely loved, and really just was a very kind young man. And it was a genuine kindness, not the fake type. I really appreciated this. It was so nice not to feel invisible. I am grateful for that.

We really enjoyed our one night here. The staff were very accommodating and gave us some complimentary wine on our arrival. They upgraded our room too! It was very comfortable and close to the center of the historic district. We went to the rooftop bar and had a drink while we waited to go to dinner. They know how to make any drink you want!

Great hotel, comfortable bed, lovely room , clean and well appointed. Service excellent. Rooftop bar amazing views and great service . Would like to stay longer ! Location great for gothic quarter and la Rambla . Cannot recommend highly enough !
