Grand Hotel Central Barcelona

This hotel is a true gem! The level of service by every single person we encountered was just unbelievable. We were stranded during flooding in Barcelona and the hotel was the highlight of our unexpected extended stay. Breathtaking breakfast spread with everything your heart could desire. The General Manager was not afraid to become involved in serving guests! Every single staff member was super friendly and went above and beyond! Highly recommend!!

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Central for our honeymoon, and we couldn't have chosen better. The hotel is lovely and ideally situated between the Gothic Quarter and La Ribera, so you're close to everything. The staff were helpful and welcoming throughout, and the service was attentive, with nightly turndown and daily housekeeping. Our room was beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and made creative use of the space. One small note: there was some noise from neighboring rooms, though I'm a particularly light sleeper. My biggest shout-out goes to Ignacio Gomez, the front-of-house manager. We had accidentally forgotten to book an extra night, and even though the hotel was nearly full, Ignacio made it work and took wonderful care of us. Then, on the way home, I realized I had left my wedding band behind. I contacted the front desk, who said they would let housekeeping know. I also asked to speak with Ignacio, and he went straight to our room to look for it himself. He found it, and we are so grateful. He could easily have delegated the search to housekeeping, but he understood how much that ring meant and took care of it personally and immediately. We are in his debt. To Small Luxury Hotels, Hilton, and the owners of Grand Hotel Central: this is exactly the kind of person you want to keep on your team. When we return to Barcelona, we'll be staying at Grand Hotel Central again.

Location was withing walking distance of everything you would want out of Barcelona! Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly and always willing to assist.

Great location between Gotic and Born. Comfortable rooms (not the biggest ever). Room terrace lovely. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast too. Due to location, expect some noise from the street at night.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Rooms were very clean and the hotel staff very friendly. The location is perfect. We should have stayed longer. The rooftop is special, however we did not feel welcome as quests there.
