Just returned home from our trip here and I do not have a negative comment for this hotel. 10/10 in service, friendly staff, beautiful clean rooms. Would 100% recommend and will definitely return.

Old and tired

Just wanted to share our experience with other people who are looking for the best stay in Barcelona balanced between price and quality The check-in process went smoothly and efficiently. However, all the comments about a warm welcome with complimentary juice or champagne were far from reality. During our two-night stay, I did not see a single guest being welcomed with any beverages at check-in The hotel positions itself as a 4-star superior property, which should normally imply a higher level of service and attention to detail compared to a standard 4-star hotel. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Nobody accompanied us to the room upon arrival, despite us carrying heavy luggage. We were simply told that the room was on the second floor and left to manage on our own The hotel also promotes the possibility of ordering services online, but the software was not functioning properly during our stay. Every request required either calling reception or personally going down to the lobby, which made the whole process inconvenient. It was also quite obvious that the hotel is trying to reduce expenses wherever possible. For example, there were no slippers in the room upon arrival, which is surprising for a hotel of this category. We had to request them twice before finally receiving them The lobby is genuinely beautiful, glamorous, modern, and visually impressive. The rooms tell a completely different story. Ours felt old and worn out from years of use. The once-white walls were covered with black scratches, and there were noticeable yellowish stains in some areas that looked like traces of previous flooding. On a positive note, the bathroom itself was in acceptable condition We specifically requested one double bed. Instead, the hotel simply pushed together two single beds, which is not exactly comfortable for couples who actually sleep together, as there is always a gap between the mattresses. The sheets were not the cleanest and there was someone else’s hair on the “fresh” towels The smell of old furniture exists in combination with watermelon odor. There’s no simple sockets near the bed. USB-C port is great, but they provide not the best output (the phone is charging very slow, approximately 10% = 20 min) Also, this place is far from quiet. You can hear people in the corridor like they are walking in the room itself. The air conditioning works loudly as well One positive aspect worth mentioning is that the hotel allowed us to safely store our luggage for around three hours after checkout, which was convenient and appreciated

Beautiful Hotel with a lovely vibe

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Beautiful hotel, lovely friendly staff, in a great location close to everything. I love the Spanish style tiles throughout the hotel, so much nicer than the corporate blandness that creeps in a lot of places.
