Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona

We visited the Hilton Diagonal Mar as we visited Barcelona for 4 nights. The hotel is a little bit outside the city center, however, the Diagonal Metro is about a 10 minute walk and is easily accessible. Our stay was very comfortable and the location was ideal for our trip. We arrived at the hotel too early to check in, however, as a Diamond member, they provided us access to the executive lounge to relax till our room was ready. The lounge has breakfast and happy hour every day as well as snacks and drinks stocked at all hours. The lounge is on the 15th floor and has incredible views of Barcelona with the whole city on one side and the sea on the other. As a Diamond member, we were also given a room upgrade as well as free breakfast on the first floor. The breakfast itself is a buffet and the selections were amazing. There were a variety of options that were all very tasty. The room was spacious and the bathroom was well kept. We had housekeeping make up the room every day and they did a great job. There is a thermostat in the room that kept the temperature nice and cool. This was especially necessary as it was pretty hot when we were in Barcelona. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Barcelona!

This property is by far the worst Hilton I've stayed at. The hotel staff has no sense of urgency, they lie about room availability, there is mold in the shower, and staff has no problem letting you know - they don't care. This was our first trip to Spain, so we went with a brand we thought we could trust. We learned the hard way that Hilton's standards do not apply at this property. Trying to save someone else the misery that we were dealt by this staff.

The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were helpful but there are clearly not enough staff to deal with the amount of guests staying at the hotel. The pool staff were fabulous, but be wary as the prices are a lot higher than if you were in central Barcelona. Housekeeping needs a refresh as it was intermittent when our room was serviced , we had to chase up this service, and I expect a lot more from a Hilton Hotel. Good location and a great shopping mall with good restaurants right opposite.

Stayed here for four nights while dropping my daughter off at her study abroad program, as her dorm was just a few streets away. The taxi queue was at the corner of the hotel, l and taxis were always available. The mall is just a crosswalk away, and the beach is a very short walk. There were many other guests there pre- and post-cruise, so the lobby was always busy with cruise guests. I would have no issue staying here again, as the rooms were spacious and nice.
