Reviews for Hotel Arts Barcelona

Service that went above and beyond

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We have just returned home from a stay at Hotel Arts Barcelona and cannot emphasize just how amazing it was. We splurged on the club level and it was worth every dime - the service was absolutely top notch, with Lorenzo being a standout in the lounge. They anticipated our every need and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible- from providing complimentary transfers to and from the airport, to loaning a mini Cooper for the day so we could explore Cava country, to answering our many questions with friendly faces. It is difficult to find hotels that still provide this level of service but Hotel Arts went above and beyond. Furthermore, our hotel room was comfortable, the view was outstanding and the location of the hotel right on the beach was perfection. We could not have asked for anything more!

Great Hotel with Class

We enjoyed our visit to the Hotel Arts very much and would like to thank the staff for looking after us , especially in the Breakfast Room each morning. A very good and high quality breakfast available , and a helpful and friendly staff on hand. Much appreciated by us each day. The rooms are lovely. Ample amount of hanging space, which is not always the case . A handheld steamer , which was so handy and a great idea. Nespresso machines, and Diptyque toiletries. Hotel is still having some renovations carried out , hopefully in 2027, it will be completed . We wish all the Interns the best in their training and in their future careers . The Ritz Carlton brand has become a firm favourite with us . We love the Berlin hotel and think we can add the Hotel Arts now to that. Hopefully we will get to visit next year again and see everything finished off with the renovation. Thanks again to all the "Ladies and Gentlemen " we had a lovely holiday. Perfect in every way!

This hotel is beyond perfection. The location on the beach is spectacular but what is most impressive are the accommodations and service. The rooms are beautiful, recently remodeled with every feature required. The staff all go above and beyond to make sure guests are cared for with every need and were helpful with every question we had during our stay. While certainly there are phenomenal restaurants in Barcelona, the food at the Marina restaurant was so incredible we ate there every night. No need to walk or catch a cab for exquisite dining. The sea bass we had was caught that day and delicious. We will definitely choose the Hotel Arts when we return to Barcelona.

Great views and service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. The highlight is definitely the location right on the water and the incredible views of the sea and the city from the rooms. The staff is highly professional. Front desk check-in was fast, and the concierge team helped us secure two difficult dinner reservations on short notice. Marina Restaurant on-site serves excellent seafood, though it is heavily overpriced. It is a solid luxury hotel with great service.

A beautiful hotel with some asterisks

This was a lovely hotel and while I would stay here again, it definitely fell short of a 5 star stay. Pros: -The room was spacious, clean, and well decorated. The bed was among the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I actually chose to stay in and order room service for dinner a couple nights of my trip because I enjoyed the room so much that I wanted to spend more time in it. -Service was great all around, from the front desk to housekeeping and everything in between. -Breakfast was an impressive buffet spread with included a la carte options. Easily one of the best I've seen in a hotel, despite the fact that it's currently hosted in an alternate location while the normal restaurant is being renovated. -I really enjoyed the welcome drink. It's a small touch that you don't see often these days, even at luxury hotels. Cons: -The location. You surely have figured this out if you're seriously considering this hotel, but it's not really close to anything except the beach. If you want to go sightseeing, you'll need a taxi or comfortable shoes for a very long walk. Being as hot as it was, I opted for the taxi most of the time. -The elevators. Honestly, this single issue was enough to take Hotel Arts out of the running for a 5-star review. It's not so bad if you're coming through at odd hours but during breakfast, check in, and check out, it will add serious time to your "commute." On my last day I went to grab breakfast prior to finishing packing and checking out. I left my room on the 17th floor at 10:00 and did not make it to breakfast until 10:30 due to the elevators. The trip back to my room took another 15 minutes (most of it in line for the elevator). Upon returning to my room, I found that my key card access had been shut off. I had to spend another 45 minutes fighting the elevators again to get downstairs, resolve the issue with the front desk (they somehow had marked me down as checking out when I had not), and then head back up. This debacle resulted in me almost missing my flight, which I made it to only because it was delayed. -I believe I was assigned a room category below what I booked and paid for. Full disclosure, I did not address this with the hotel (I had planned to but due to the aforementioned elevator debacle, I didn't have time) so they very well may have resolved it if I asked. After double checking my confirmation email, I am positive that I booked a panorama sea view room. I was surprised to not have any kind of sea view when I first walked into the room, but I loved the room otherwise so I chose not to make a fuss. Thinking maybe I was crazy, I checked the Marriott Bonvoy app and it strangely said my reservation was a regular city view. Again, I cross checked this with my confirmation email, which said I had reserved a panorama sea view. I was happy to stay in the room but it was a 30-50 Euro difference per night, so I was hoping to ask for a refund of that amount from the hotel. I think this was probably some kind of technical glitch but it's a bit frustrating to not get what you paid for. -The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and some spaces are closed. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time.
