Imagine gazing out over beautiful Barcelona, the Mediterranean glistening in the distance, while you bask in the hot tub on your private terrace. At the Hotel Miramar Barcelona, such luxurious living is just another day. Part of LVX collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, this beautiful hotel was originally a palace built in the 1920's, and has been redesigned with a sleek modern style while retaining all the palatial elegance while preserving the original facade of an old palace. The 75 rooms, decorated in pure whites and dark earth tones, provide you with amazing views from the picture windows or private balconies. With plush linens, stand-alone tubs, and all the modern technology you desire, the Hotel Miramar is truly a masterpiece of harmony between classical and modern styles.

If you want to pay premium 5-star rates for DMV-level efficiency and hostile service, book Hotel Miramar. The rooms are nice and the ocean views are exactly as advertised, but a luxury hotel cannot survive on a view alone. The customer service and management here are completely broken. It is a beautifully appointed trap run by an untrained, indifferent staff. Service at the pool was nonexistent. A staff member was openly belligerent, forcing me to escalate the issue directly to the Hospitality Manager. The intervention changed nothing. The staff remained checked out, there was zero atmosphere, and guests had to hunt people down just to order a drink. Getting simple items to the room felt like a war of attrition. It took seven phone calls over three days just to get coffee cups for the room's coffee maker. Getting an extra pillow took four separate calls. The internal communication here is nonexistent—you aren’t being served, you are begging. The absolute breaking point was the hotel losing my wife’s vital, overnighted medication. They claimed they couldn't find it for the entirety of our stay, only to "find" it two days after we checked out. When we sent a courier to retrieve it, the staff claimed they lost it again. Once they finally located it a second time, they had the audacity to demand we pay the courier charges to fix their own mistake.

Cons: Nearby beach clubs are playing constant loud thumping music and the rooms are not sound proof. Very slow guest services, had to ring more than 7 times before they pick up, and then needed a reminder call after housekeeping hadn’t come after almost an hour.too All information is meant to be on the TV, but nothing comes up for dining, menus etc. A very unintuitive tv system. No information was given at check-in about breakfast, facilities or anything. Pros: pool area is nice. Light switches are well placed and marked. Power is by the bed for chargers. Coffee and tea are in the room. Really nice large and thick towels. Nice bathroom and good rainfall shower. Nice views over barcelona and the sea.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The daytime manager was dishonest and repeatedly misled guests, even claiming that the police had sent a letter when that was simply not true. His attitude and behaviour were completely unprofessional, and dealing with him was extremely uncomfortable. The assistant manager was boring, incompetent, and had strangely weird eye contact that made interactions awkward and unsettling. Rather than helping resolve issues, he seemed uninterested and incapable of providing any meaningful assistance. The hotel was noisy throughout the night, making it almost impossible to get a proper night’s sleep. The rooms were poor, the service was lacking, and the overall standard of the property fell far below expectations. The only positive aspect of our stay was the night manager and the doorman, who were both absolute legends and did their best to help despite the many issues elsewhere in the hotel. The recent renovations appear cheap and poorly executed. It felt as though management was more interested in taking guests’ money than providing a quality experience. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to stay elsewhere. There are far better options available. Do not stay at this property.

The hotels location is fantastic but dont walk through the park late at night as unfortunately there is alot of homeless people there and people smoking drugs and drinking. Whilst this is out of the hotels control, it is the back entrance leading up to the hotel just so your aware. The hotel is very well maintained with great amenities. The pools and gym are great, the spa looked lovely however we didnt use it as it was much more costly than others located nearby. The staff were very attentive and always there to help rectify issues (which unfortunately there were a few). Kheraba, Muhammed and Lily went above and beyond to help us and always with a smile on their faces! There were others but unfortunately didn't get there names. We booked an executive room (411) and the view from the balcony was of a car park and some men working out the back. As this was an anniversary trip we requested to move rooms and had to pay extra. We were moved to 318. Unfortunately this had a very restricted sea view and no balcony, so had to move again to 319. This room was lovely with an amazing view! We went out for the day and on return there was no power to the room as this could not be rectified that night, once again we were in the move to a suite this time to make up for the inconvenience. Suite 502 is stunning the views are incredible unfortunately the ac only worked on night one so the room was a little warm. This is a new hotel and having teething problems, but the staff are there to try and help as quickly as possible. I'm sure they will help the hotel achieve the 5 star rating, just a few issues to sort first.

Absolutely unacceptable and highly unprofessional experience. We booked this hotel specifically because it clearly stated on Booking.com that pets are allowed. Upon arrival, however, we were refused entry with our dog without any valid or consistent explanation, leaving us stranded without accommodation. To make matters even worse, the hotel changed its pet policy just one day after our reservation and then refused to honor the conditions that were clearly in place at the time of booking. This is misleading and completely unacceptable. What was particularly shocking was that the receptionist subjectively assessed the weight of our dog on the spot and used this as a reason to deny us entry. This kind of arbitrary and unprofessional behavior is simply outrageous. This is the first time in my life I have experienced such treatment. It demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism, reliability, and respect for guests. I strongly advise anyone — especially those traveling with pets — to avoid this hotel. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend it under any circumstances.
