InterContinental Barcelona

First time at this hotel in beautiful Barcelona. I dont plan on making it my last. From checkin to check-out at the Club reception the standard was set for a great stay. Nice peaceful location in the City. The Club standard was the highest. The rooms were extremely well appointed. One night issues with the AC but finally they were resolved. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay

Nice hotel close to the center of beautiful Barcelona. My room was quite big, really nice bathroom and excellent AC. Surprisingly room was extremely quiet which was really great. Sadly my stay was short i didn't get to try the rooftop or the famous fine restaurant but I ordered breakfast to my room, service was great but food was cold! Lobby bar is huge and service was okay. Front desk team at this hotel what makes it special, especially the concierge team. I will definitely come hack on my next visit to Barcelona.

I really love the Intercontinental brand, but found this one to be really lacking. We booked Club level, and expected it to be like other IC hotels. Not so much. Morning Club breakfast was really good... good choice and variety. They had a tapas from 3-7 and the food was not good and definitely not tapas ... though there were some Spanish cheeses. The chips were stale and the staff was MIA and did not replace the wines. Our room was extremely hot (80 degrees) - and it took me till 7pm to get someone to take it seriously. Additionally, while not the hotel's fault, there was a large corporate group booked into the hotel partying and drinking up a storm around the pool. It just killed the serene vibe. On the positive front - good location (tapas bar around corner) and walkable. Tip: We saw locals holding their purses pretty close and staff warned us about pickpockets.

I've stayed at this hotel hundreds of times (since it was a Crowne Plaza). I thought the rebranding couldn't improve its quality (that was very high); but I was wrong. They're even better now. From the check-in process (Joan) and your first class lounge experience (good drinks but poor food), till the concierges (Marc and Gema are incredibly professional and know everything about the city, the region and the entire country), you can feel confident that you will be able to make the most of your stay in Barcelona. I love them all!
