Reviews for Le Meridien Barcelona

Outstanding Service - best location.

My brother, our wives and a friend recently stayed at the hotel. The refurbished rooms were great, as was the location. Good restaurant in the building and a great one just across the street. Hotel is right on the main La Rablas (La Rambla (or Las Ramblas) is Barcelona's most iconic 1.2-kilometer, tree-lined pedestrian boulevard). My praise is for Frederica Griffoni, Guest Supervisor. I had dropped my phone upon arriving in the cab at the hotel. The cab drove off. After tracing the iPhone on my wife’s phone, she spent the next 3 hours tracking it down, getting another driver to return from 15 miles away and saved my vacation. So professional, so courteous. I was so happy. I commend her and the staff for their service. The Marshmallow treats were great too!

Fantastic!

Great hotel! The staff was extremely professional and friendly. They were quick to respond to any requests and seemed to truly enjoy their jobs. The recently renovated rooms were really nice, clean and spacious and the quality of the room amenities (towels, soaps, coffee equipment) was high-end. The hotel is on La Rambla making it convenient to walk around and explore. And they have security at night making sure that non-guests don't come into the hotel. No noise issues in Room 348. The only issue that I had was they told me to talk to the concierge if I needed anything regarding local recommendations. I tried twice - once in the evening and once in the morning but the person was not working. Not sure what the hours they work are but it wasn't very late or early. I definitely would stay here again!

Very good hotel in city center

I was here for work for 4 days. The hotel is very conveniently located in the middle of La Rambla (currently under reconstruction), the entire historic center is within walking distance, as well as many shops and restaurants. I had booked 3 rooms, asking for them to be next to each other, even though the hotel was full, they gave them to me as I had requested. I am an ambassador, they apologized that they could not upgrade me, but in return they gave me free breakfast for all three rooms, as well as free latte at the checkout until 14:30 again for all three rooms. The rooms are relatively large and modern, with very comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Mine was facing some kind of backyard on the fifth floor and was extremely quiet. I especially want to note the service, which was at an exceptional level and they managed to meet all my expectations and satisfy all my requests. The rooms were clean. We had breakfast in the restaurant, it was very good, I especially want to highlight the omelettes prepared on site. We stopped by their bar on the ground floor one night, it's excellent with an excellent bartender. I also want to note that the price was good for this time of year, as there was a big exhibition in town. I recommend it.

We had an awesome experience at this hotel

We had an awesome experience at this hotel. We are very grateful to Paul and Jaqueline at the bar lounge. It was my daughter’s birthday and we asked if we could get a dessert. Paul made sure we got a dessert and my daughter could celebrate her day. Really nice gesture by both of them.

Exceptional Staff, Location

My first visit to Barcelona was incredible thanks in large part of this hotel. The location in the heart of the city made so much accessible just outside the door. The staff was professional, friendly, and so helpful - the front desk, the coffee shop, the restaurant and the front door. Jorge was the BEST! Thank you for a terrific experience!

We enjoyed our room at the hotel though for a lot more money it wasn’t really much better than our Sofitel Munich stay which was much less per night. The location of the hotel and the service there was great.

The dinner at the hotel, for which we received a lovely 50 euro amenity was one we wish we had skipped. It was the worst paella we have ever had anywhere including several times in Spain. One starter was very good but the other 2 were not very good.
