Le Meridien Barcelona

We stayed at two fantastic hotels before this one, so it didn't shine as much in comparison. This hotel is a solid business hotel. It is right on the main drag, but surprisingly, we did not have any noise issues. The staff were very friendly and pleasant in the lobby area. The restaurant was sterile and there was no bar/night scene at all with lights cranked at full blast and slow service. This would be fine if there were somewhere close to walk to for a drink, but you were surrounded by fast food places. It is located in a VERY touristy area and we probably should have stayed somewhere else. Breakfast buffet was solid. The bed was very comfortable even though it looked like it wouldn't have been.

Stellar experience from arriving to departure. Great place to stay in the epicenter of it all! So many things to do. Inaki was a perfect touch to our stay. He managed our expectations, helped us get and in out of hotel safely. Always lending a hand with moving things for us. Showed us with a Barcelona local is. He was the very best! - Lael

When we arrived, we were delighted to find the beautiful room prepared for us along with the thoughtful welcome amenities—champagne, chocolates, and the lovely note from the team. It was such a warm and elegant gesture that immediately made us feel valued and truly welcomed. We sincerely appreciate the effort and attention to detail that went into preparing this for us. A special thank you to Otto, who greeted us so warmly upon arrival. His recognition of us as Platinum Marriott Bonvoy members and his kind congratulations on our 30th wedding anniversary made the moment even more meaningful. His professionalism, friendliness, and genuine hospitality set a wonderful tone for our stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The selection was absolutely wonderful—beautifully presented fresh fruits and vegetables, delicious cold cuts, salmon, and a fantastic egg station with a very friendly and talented chef. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and abundant. The entire breakfast team was attentive, welcoming, and truly outstanding. Overall, we were incredibly impressed by every aspect of the hotel—the room, the elegant lobby, the breakfast restaurant, and most of all the exceptional staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, pleasant, attentive, and professional. The service felt sincere, polished, and genuinely caring. Thank you again for making our anniversary celebration so special. My brother, our wives and a friend recently stayed at the hotel. The refurbished rooms were great, as was the location. Good restaurant in the building and a great one just across the street. Hotel is right on the main La Rablas (La Rambla (or Las Ramblas) is Barcelona's most iconic 1.2-kilometer, tree-lined pedestrian boulevard). My praise is for Frederica Griffoni, Guest Supervisor. I had dropped my phone upon arriving in the cab at the hotel. The cab drove off. After tracing the iPhone on my wife’s phone, she spent the next 3 hours tracking it down, getting another driver to return from 15 miles away and saved my vacation. So professional, so courteous. I was so happy. I commend her and the staff for their service. The Marshmallow treats were great too!

Great hotel! The staff was extremely professional and friendly. They were quick to respond to any requests and seemed to truly enjoy their jobs. The recently renovated rooms were really nice, clean and spacious and the quality of the room amenities (towels, soaps, coffee equipment) was high-end. The hotel is on La Rambla making it convenient to walk around and explore. And they have security at night making sure that non-guests don't come into the hotel. No noise issues in Room 348. The only issue that I had was they told me to talk to the concierge if I needed anything regarding local recommendations. I tried twice - once in the evening and once in the morning but the person was not working. Not sure what the hours they work are but it wasn't very late or early. I definitely would stay here again!
