This hotel is a must. Absolute 5-star hotel with professional and gracious staff. The food was not only great, the presentation was superb. And right in the middle of the Gothic quarter. Perfect location. Would not stay anywhere else. Thank you to everyone at this wonderful hotel.

I rented 5 rooms here for 2 nights last week and was surprised by the ranking it is given on here. The ground floor where the reception, restaurant and bars are was often unattended but the reception staff were very nice.. This despite them trying to charge me for our stays even though we had already paid before arrival. The rooms are a reasonable size but are quite basic and all come with an open plan bathroom but feels but budget in appearance and usability! The showers all have this ridiculous floor that is uneven and a trip hazard - i thought it was just my room but all rooms had it and when reported to reception they did nothing. Most rooms views basically face onto a brick wall. It sells itself as a hotel with a roof pool which we all wanted to attend, but upon arrival the pool area was taped off and empty. Not sure i would return.

Exclusive boutique hotel located in Gothic quarter adjacent to the old Roman wall. Superb location and knowlegeable, personal staff. Modern architecture and great pillows and beds. Could have used more access to plugs and better lighting in bathroom area. Lovely hotel and would return again

The Mercer Barcelona is a lovely hotel in a great location. The service was very attentive overall, breakfast delicious. We would stay there again. Caveat, if a gym is important to you during you stay, this is probably not the place for you. There is no gym on the property.
