Amazing experience at the Mercer - Mario and Gabriel were wonderful! Highly recommend!

It’s a nice hotel. The staff are excellent, and for their sake I’m sad I can’t rate it more than a 3 star, but the facilities were a huge let down during our stay. The pool was out of action, as was the main restaurant and rooftop bar which we were not aware of until arrival. The room is nice, fairly basic but it’s cool staying in a Roman tower. The shower floor was one of the weirdest things I’ve experienced, it was slats laid into a base and felt a bit unstable to be honest. The view was nice, the location was perfect for the gothic quarter and exploring the narrow streets. I would love to rate it higher but the lack of pool and lack of rooftop bar and restaurant was not ideal.

It’s a lovely hotel, all the amenities you’d want from a 5 star and the service was amazing - the staff are very attentive and help with recommendations (Mario & Rodrigo deserve a special shoutout). Rooms are great with huge bathrooms, pillow options are good too. Terrace was great for sun bathing but swimming pool could have been better. Location is perfect, lovely tapas restaurant nearby and the cathedral is a short 5min walk.

Our stay at the Mercer Hotel in Barcelona was wonderful. The hotel itself is a destination in its own right: it is tucked into the Gothic Quarter, and parts of the building date back to the first century, incorporating remnants of the old Roman wall of Barcino. But what made our stay truly memorable was the staff, and in particular a team member named Gabriel. His warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made our visit special. He really went above and beyond. Between the hotel's rich character and Gabriel's outstanding service, we left already looking forward to our next stay at the Mercer!
