METT Barcelona

We just got back from a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel, and we absolutely loved it. The hotel sits at the top of a mountain, a little outside the center of the city, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with light-colored wood floors, spacious hallways, and open staircases that give it a modern feel with just a hint of nostalgia. Our room had floor-to-ceiling windows that filled the room with natural light, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The food was seriously incredible. We live in New York City and can be pretty critical when it comes to food, but it definitely did not disappoint. My wife and I loved the grilled red prawns and paella, while our kids couldn't get enough of the steak burgers. And then there was the staff. They really made our stay special. Everyone was incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely caring. The waiters at the restaurant were the stars. They each had their own personality and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. One gentleman even spoke German with my wife and our kids, which they loved. Another always greeted us with a huge smile and made us feel at home every time we saw him. And then there was Roberto, who was so fun-loving and personable. They were all incredibly kind and attentive, and honestly made every meal more enjoyable. I can't finish this review without mentioning the general manager, Diego. He is THE MAN. He made everything work so seamlessly. Whenever there was an issue, he found a way to solve it immediately. For example, we had arranged for a taxi to pick us up at 9:00 AM to take us into the city. When it still hadn't arrived 15 minutes later because of an issue with the taxi company, Diego didn't just apologize and leave us waiting. He immediately arranged for one of the hotel staff members to drive us himself. That's the kind of service and personal attention that you remember long after a trip is over. Overall, we had an amazing experience. The beautiful setting, breathtaking views, great food, and especially the wonderful people made this a truly memorable stay. I really can't recommend this hotel highly enough. We would happily come back.

This type of hotel you normally only see in Asia. Excellent location, amazing architecture. We booked a suite with a terrasse and an amazing view, it was amazing. Great attention to the details because it was my boyfriend's birthday, we were impressed. The pool and saunas are top class and breakfast very good. I don't believe there is a better 5 stars in Barcelona. Ah yes, also, great bathroom amenities!

Beautiful hotel with the best view of Barcelona. Perfect romantic getaway -we ate several times in the restaurant and the food and service were exceptional. Diego, the manager was very attentive to our needs and make sure that they were properly taken care of.

I’m almost loathe to share my thoughts on this hotel because I don’t want everyone else knowing about it! We only stayed for the 1 night, before flying home but it was well worth it. Location: the views over the city of Barcelona are unsurpassable, simply breathtaking! Staff: clearly professionally trained with knowledgeable views, polite, courteous and extremely helpful that made us feel that this was a proper 5* establishment. Room: we had a beautiful sea view room with balcony that had an extremely comfortable bed, an excellent TV, a great bathroom (if I was being super picky, the water pressure in the shower could have been better). Spa/Pool: a fantastic inside/outside pool and jacuzzi, we didn’t try any treatments but the area was relaxed and welcoming. Restaurant: we had our best meal of the week here, with the clams & prawns being particularly delicious, the setting on the terrace is incredible (again, if I was being hyper critical, they could possibly look at turning the music down a notch or two, but that’s obviously personal preference). The waiter, Sandro, was extremely attentive, polite & knowledgeable, a real asset to the restaurant. Overall, a superb hotel and we will most certainly return!
