We had a great experience at Monument hotel in Barcelona and highly recommend it to anyone traveling there. Location is perfect, with plenty of dinning options within walking distance. The room was spacious and amenities great. The hotel is clean and there are couple of restaurants on site and also an awesome rooftop bar and pool. The front desk ladies were great and also the concierge (especially Xavi). Porters were very attentive. We found our home in Barcelona!

We really appreciated the attention for service. The arrangement made by concierge Denis for a private tour was exactly the type of tour we were looking for for our granddaughter. The hotels is clean and well located. The room with the extra bed was in line with our needs and expectations. In case there is an occasion we will recommend the hotel to friends.

I think you would find it hard to better the three night, two day experience we had at this hotel. Not cheap, but you want cheap don’t stay here. But you get what you pay for and this was outstanding. Stylish, without being minimalistic, comfortable - nice touches, pillow selection, honour bar, as much water as you want, fresh linen and towels - everything you expect from a 5 star rated hotel. F&B - great bar with restaurant with mixed tapas and mains. 3 Michelin star in there as well if that is your thing, not ours. Best bit, staff - outstanding - Xavi runs concierge like Messi ran the front line for Barca - Stephen in the bar , ex linebacker for his high school in the US, neither could do enough for us. And these are just the two we spoke most too. Well done the team there - I’d compare the service levels and culture to a Gleneagles in Scotland - outstanding. Ps - best location too. Xavi - I’m holding you to that promise we talked about.

We have enjoyed our family trip with two kids in this hotel, we stayed in the family suite. It was connecting rooms with sofa and TV in the middle. The size of the room and interior design was perfect, you are with the kids and also you are separate with the kids, and it was perfect for us, the location is very centered, you can walk everywhere, the roof terrace was nice when sunny.breakfast was good and everyone is so nice. I recommend this hotel. Worth to stay.

While the hotel location is excellent, our room location was not. We booked 5 months in advance for a 4 night stay in a Suite Monument Patio. We were assigned a dark room tucked away in a strange corner (next to the staircase across from the elevators which we heard whirring inside our room 24/7). But moreover our room was right nextdoor to the Housekeeping services closet/room which was noisy with activity, doors opening and closing, equipment in and out all day. It was also directly below the same housekeeping room on the floor above so we heard that commotion constantly as well. Did we just happen to get the worst location in the building? One morning we had the Do Not Disturb sign on so we could sleep in a bit but then removed it at 10:30 a.m. and housekeeping never came by to service the room until 7 pm that night. We're not sensitive to noise and our other stays on this trip were at a Rosewood and a Langham and both were absolutely wonderful. But I would not consider Hotel Monument to be even close to the same 5 star category despite pricing in the $700+ range. I've only ever written positive hotel reviews in the past but this was a big miss so hoping I can spare someone from this particular room and disappointment in the future! :)
