Reviews for Monument Hotel

Possibly the best hotel in Barcelona

I’ve been to Barcelona and love the city. My only regret is that I fight discover the Monument Hotel sooner. The location is great, the room spacious and spotless and the staff extremely professional and helpful. This is now our go to hotel in Barcelona.

Perfect place for our 25th wedding anniversary

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Barcelonas fancy shopping quarter. The architecture is amazing. We booked the Passeig de Gracia suite that had its balcony directly above the entrance. We felt like queen and king. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The service was outstanding. We will definitely return.

An Authentic Experience of compassion care and kindness!

A first class luxury hotel, where Seva and Hospitality comes first for each guest from arrival to departure! The cuisine is clearly deserving of the Michelin Stars. The entire team practice the same leadership style! Monument team demonstrated nurturing food intolerances in all of their dining establishments.

Monumental Experience

Our stay at the Monumental for our last two nights in beautiful Barcelona were memorable. The hotel is gorgeous, our room fabulous with every accommodation considered, and the service from everyone impeccable from the very moment we walked through the doors to when we left. Something as simple as finding that housekeeping placed our personal toiletries on lovely hand towels…and the slippers by our bed made our stay special. We had planned to dine out for our last two nights but fell in love with the hotel so much, we dined in. The food and wine selection outstanding. And the striking roof top terrace with views of the city was fabulous. If we didn’t have a flight taking off early the next morning, we would have stayed. We’d stay again.

Nice hotel experience

Booked with AMEX FHR. Awesome location, walkable to most attractions within 20 min and 2 blocks from the subway/airport line. We did not arrive early so not sure if early check in was available, greeted warmly by doormen and sat in a lounge with water until the desk was ready. Check in was easy, we got our FHR letter and explained our 90€ credit to hotel (excludes the 3 star Michelin restaurant). The hotel was fully booked and they were unable to offer a room upgrade. The jr suite was spacious with a lovely bathroom and soaking tub and Diptique bathroom amenities. Plush towels and robes, it felt luxurious. We only had to clarify a few details and reception was easy to reach via phone. Breakfast on the rooftop was a simple European buffet with lovely hot food a la carte. While we did not try the restaurants for dinner, we had drinks at the bar which were well crafted. Check out was easy and they kindly reserved a cab for us with no fuss. We ran into an issue where after one time flushing the toilet it did not stop running. We reported this problem at 9pm before heading out for the night and when arriving back at 4am it was not fixed. As they were fully booked we were placed in a small regular room at 5am, which was a bit more tight. The next day the team gave us a complimentary upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite which was a nice room with a more spacious bathroom. Overall a very nice hotel in a great area. The presentation of the hotel is luxurious though what really gives it a 5-star feel is the doormen. It was such a pleasure greeted by the doormen every time, we incredible warm hospitality and a sincere desire to help in any way.
