Nobu Hotel Barcelona

I had a lovely birthday dinner at the Nobu restaurant. The atmosphere was amazing and made even better by the wonder service from Leonor. She had wonderful food and drink recommendations and I would come back 100% just for the black miso cod! My dietary restrictions were also met and I felt well looked after by Leonor!

Even though I came alone to have dinner Leonor was an amazing host she had so many good recommendations and knew the menu inside and out. She took my allergies into consideration and made sure to check with the chef which I appreciate. Thank you Leonor!!!

This was our first experience at Nobu and the Barcelona staff was attentive to all details even creating a gluten-free experience for me. Leslie provided outstanding service and the cuisine was beautifully plated, fresh, and flavorful. Choosing the Signature Style multi-course dinner was an excellent choice. Next time we’ll try the local style meal!

A lovely hotel with staff that try very hard. It's a shame the ownership chooses to treat it like their own private facility and show such disregard for paying customers. My 12 year old son and I were staying there the night of the World Cup final but had bought tickets to watch it elsewhere. In the day the rooftop staff informed us they would be showing it there with a giant screen behind the pool and 2 more in the bar. "Great! Do we need to book it at all" "No, its open to all residents" So we cancelled our other plans and decided to watch it at Nobu. 45 minutes before kick off we went up and found the entire pool area cordoned off and protected by a bouncer. "I thought we could watch the game here?" "No, sorry. The owner has reserved this area for a private function" "Ok, you never mentioned this before. Can we get a seat in the bar area then (There was a number of empty tables)" "No, sorry. Those are all reserved. The best we can do is let you stand at the back". Having cancelled our other plans we had no choice but to stand up for the next 3 hours. We realised as we stood there that the reserved tables remained empty. It transpired that these had been reserved for the owner's daughter who may or may not use them. So while paying guests tried to find standing room, tables sat empty in case the owner felt like using them. They stayed empty the rest of the evening. To top things off, my 12 year old son went down stairs at half time to use the toilet in our room. When he tried to return, a bouncer on the elevator refused to let him up due to the owner's private party. He pleaded with him on the basis that his dad was up there and he had just come down for a second but the bouncer still refused to allow him to come up. In the end it took a member of the private party, seeing how upset my son was that he was being prevented from reaching his dad, to lie and say my son was with her just so he could come back up to me. Totally unacceptable behaviour! The rooms in this hotel are great and as mentioned the check-in staff and bar staff are really helpful. But they're overworked as there clearly isn't enough of them. Perhaps the owner should focus on improving the guest experience rather than his own private use of the facilities.

Some staff members are friendly, while others are not; a young cleaning woman came to tidy up, and my toiletry bag had disappeared by the time she left. The pool is very small, with few sun loungers for the entire hotel and no shaded areas, so you are forced to wait in direct sunlight. Avoid this hotel.
