Our stay at Nobu Barcelona was a huge disappointment. For a hotel charging premium luxury prices, the condition of the room, food and service fell well short of expectations. We arrived to find mould in the bathroom and cracked tiles. We had paid for an upgrade, but the room felt like a downgrade. The most concerning issue was room service delivering food containing allergens I had explicitly told them about. We sent it back, waited around an hour for a replacement and were still charged €62. This was eventually removed at checkout, but we should never have had to chase it. At the pool, a €43 Wagyu burger and €9 fries arrived cold. When we complained, the waiter told us that was how it was meant to be served. The replacement then arrived piping hot, roughly 30 minutes after my meal had been served. The comment, “If you want it warmer, I can burn the bread if you like,” was rude and completely unnecessary. We then had to plead with the bar manager to remove the cold burger from the bill. There were also roadworks directly outside the hotel. With traffic coming from several directions, crossing the road felt dangerous. The spa was pleasant, although small. The front desk staff and porters were lovely and deserve credit, as do the other staff who genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, that did not make up for the poor attention to detail elsewhere. Every day seemed to involve raising another mistake with staff. Having to repeatedly complain and challenge charges was embarrassing and exhausting, and certainly not how we wanted to spend our break. Five-star prices should come with far better standards than this. We left feeling disappointed and would choose somewhere else for a luxury stay in Barcelona.

Staff very helpful and polite. Rooms were extremely comfortable! Conveniently located across the street from the train station. Highly recommend.

Our stay was extremely disappointing. Construction work directly outside our window caused significant disruption and affected our comfort throughout the visit. This was made worse by a rude and unhelpful member of staff, whose attitude fell well below the standard of service we expected. The lifts were also old, poorly maintained and frustrating to use, adding to the overall inconvenience. Unfortunately, these issues combined to spoil what should have been an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The hotel did not live up to our expectations or the standard advertised.

The worst and most stressful hotel experience I've ever had, and I've stayed at 2-star hotels. We paid over €800/night for two nights, plus a second room for my parents. Check-in: Our room wasn't ready at 3pm; we waited 1.5 extra hours with two young kids and no estimate. Room: TVs and Wi-Fi didn't work. Connecting doors wouldn't stay open without propping them with luggage, unsafe with kids. A bar above the mirror was coming off the wall. Both room keys stopped working. Sleep: My mattress had fist-sized cotton lumps from a defective pad. The kids' bed frame was broken and needed three new support beams. No soundproofing (yelling, sirens, revving engines all night) and loud air conditioning. We barely slept. Amenities: Room service brings no table, so you eat on the bed. Rooftop and pool were closed for events. Restaurant: Despite open tables, no one greeted or seated us for 15 minutes, and no menus came. We had to ask reception for help. My wife's meal never arrived; she ate our kids' leftovers. Billing: The hotel charged my card $2,100+, then couldn't find the payment in its system. Over an hour lost at the front desk. They also overcharged us and still haven't refunded the difference. Management: Manager Victor sent templated replies plus orange juice and charcuterie no one asked for. Guests want proper service and a decent bed, not snacks. After checkout: Victor claimed we broke a lamp and threatened a €500 charge. We didn't. Our chat history from day one documents how much was already broken, and his photos don't show it was our room or our stay. Victor is the worst hotel manager I've encountered. No amount of money is worth this stress. I won't spend another dime at any Nobu business.

Location is close to metro which is very convenient. Front desk is not really friendly or trained well for a 5 star hotel. I did not feel welcomed during check in. As a solo female traveler I had to bring my two suitcase to my room myself. I thought maybe the hotel does not do that but was later shocked during my stay when I saw the bell man offering to take others. I wanted to move hotels and called Amex concierge but the hotel later offered to make it better which I would say my experience was better. They brought my a nice desert for my upcoming birthday, the manager called to check in, housekeeping was also good. My check out, the front desk was still so so, but the door man was amazing and helped me get to the train station. I would say overall the hotel feels more like a 4 star hotel. If you’re looking for amazing service I probably would not recommend based on my front desk experience. The restaurant however is great and my server was lovely. Overall It was a decent stay just a few disappointing moments.
