Ohla Eixample

From the moment we stepped out of the taxi we were welcomed by hotel staff. The welcome was warm, friendly and genuine. Nothing was too much trouble during our short stay and staff went out of their way to make sure everything was too our liking. Our deluxe rooms were spacious and well equipped. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Great quality linen, fixtures and fittings, and attention to detail. A bottle of wine and chocolates in the rooms upon arrival, and a chocolate on the bed each evening. Also plenty of complimentary water in the fridge, robe and slippers, a selection of teas and coffee pods. The breakfast was sumptuous and plentiful with all diets and tastes catered for although happily with a strong Catalan influence, so lots of new foods to try. There is a hot and cold buffet, continental selection, some gluten free bread and cakes and a fabulous selection of fresh fruits, juices and hot drinks. There was also the option of cook to order items such as crepes or eggs your preferred way. The location is beautiful, clean and well kept, with plent of Catalan character. Despite being within a short walk (10-25mins) from all the major sights, the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful. The hotel, Eixample and Barcelona exceeded all my expectations. The hotel and all it's staff made the holiday something very special.

Beautiful part of Barcelona safe. The staff is amazing and helpful (especially Juanma). We had some nice restaurant recommendations from most of the staff. The staff is the highlight here. The hotel itself is more a four star not a 5 star as we believed. The hotel is dark (hotel hallways - color and lighting choices etc) and more modern so if you are older the lighting in the rooms is very low light. It is located about 10-15 minute walk from Gaudis Casa Mila and Batllo, easy taxi rides to Park Guell and Sagrada. My chief complaint was the cleanliness of the bathroom there was a lot of black mold in the grout which drives me nuts as it makes everything seem dirty and had not been cleaned well in a while. Beds are comfortable but make sure you get a room that doesn't face a busy street. You can ask for feather pillows which I recommend. They do have a nice turn down with lavender scent. They do have breakfast included. Usual meats and some fruit and bread. You can order off the menu - I always expect smoked salmon in Europe and this was not available but I did ask for it everyday. We did not eat in the restaurant for dinner.

Our stay at Ohla Eixample in Barcelona was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the hotel exceeded every expectation. The property itself is beautiful, elegant, modern, and incredibly comfortable. Our room was stunning and thoughtfully designed, making it the perfect place to relax after long days exploring the city. Despite being located in such a vibrant area, the room was wonderfully quiet and peaceful, and we never experienced any issues with noise. The location is also absolutely ideal. The hotel is situated in a wonderful area within easy walking distance to many beautiful high-end shops, charming boutique stores, and incredible five-star restaurants, making it the perfect base for exploring Barcelona. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. Every single person we encountered was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay special. They went above and beyond in every possible way to ensure our family felt welcomed and cared for. They didn’t just treat us like guests … they made us feel like family. Maria, the hotel manager, as well as Jhuvigl, Mamadou, and Tim are just a few who are truly an outstanding part of the Ohla team. The rooftop pool is absolutely gorgeous and was just one highlight of our stay. Even during the cooler weather, the water was wonderfully warm, like a bathtub, which made it such a relaxing place to unwind while enjoying the beautiful views of Barcelona. Breakfast each morning was outstanding. The buffet included everything you could possibly want: hot dishes, pastries, quiches, cheeses, fresh fruit, made-to-order omelets, juices, and excellent coffee. Everything was beautifully presented and constantly refreshed so it always looked perfect … never picked over or depleted. The staff were incredibly attentive with every detail of our stay. They arranged taxis for us whenever needed, and on one occasion when we were running late, they even stepped outside to flag down another taxi to make sure we arrived at our destination on time. Housekeeping also deserves special recognition. Each day we returned to a perfectly cleaned and beautifully refreshed room. The attention to detail and care they put into making everything spotless and comfortable truly added to the overall experience. The thoughtful touches throughout the hotel made the experience even more special. The lobby always offered water, flavored water, and Cava for guests to enjoy. One evening, after the staff noticed my mom walking through the lobby with flowers we had bought for her birthday, we returned to our room to find balloons and a personal note and a bottle of wine they had arranged for her. It was such a heartfelt and unexpected gesture that meant so much to our family. This level of hospitality is rare. Ohla Eixample truly goes above and beyond in every way, and we left feeling incredibly grateful for such a memorable experience. The value of what we paid for the experience we received truly felt priceless. If you are visiting Barcelona and looking for a hotel that combines luxury, warmth, impeccable service, and a perfect location, this is the place to stay. We cannot wait to return.

This is a 5-star hotel with excellent service. Excellent breakfast, excellent Valentine's packages, and Mrs. Alvarez organized a delicious birthday cake for my significant other. A spacious room, housekeeping amazing, and a polite, professional front desk. One thing that needs improvement is the taxi we waited for 20 min. And according to my 5-star experience in the world, that never happened, or perhaps needs to be improved. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with great amenities in a good mood. I recommend this relaxing atmosphere, at a short distance from all the main city points, to everyone who chooses the right way to visit Barcelona.
