The One Barcelona

We are hotel snobs. We had 2 rooms - one for us and one for our 18 year old twins - and all rate this hotel easily as a top 3. The beds and linens are super comfortable and the bathrooms/showers are great. Breakfast is fabulous, as is the rooftop bar. The service was perfect - Raoul, Frank, David, and the rest of the crew made our stay seamless. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was comfy, staff were super friendly, and the location in Eixample was totally safe, walkable, and close to shops, cafes, and main sights. Breakfast was a set menu, which I didn’t love, but everything else was great. Highly recommend!

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights during our honeymoon, overall I would say our experience was average. There were some highlights but we have had better experiences in other hotels. I must admit we had high expectations for this hotel due to the reviews and pricing etc. Earlier in the holiday we stayed in H10 Port Vell and despite being a cheaper and lower rating this was a much better experience. Positives - The staff were all lovely and helpful, the bed was very comfortable, beautiful views, modern and stylish design, location is great, the hotel gifted a bottle of bubbly and chocolates to us for the honeymoon which was very kind. Negatives - The room was not in great condition, the control panel built into the bedside table was broken on arrival and they had to send maintenance up to fix it, however it still didn't shut properly and kept falling of the hinge and getting stuck. The shower was leaking cold water from the top so you would get random cold drips. The TV controller for the bedroom TV didn't work (dead batterys), we couldn't replace them ourselves as there was a screw to fix in the cover so we had to call maintenance up very late at night. We got fed up of calling maintenance out after a few visits as it just felt embarrassing calling them up for every issue. The furniture around the hotel was almost modern to a fault, the low backed and fabric chairs were uncomfortable. On the rooftop bar there were some sun-beds which were much comfier but the majority of chairs were not comfortable. We didn't end up eating or drinking on the rooftop as the prices were pretty steep and they didn't have anything basic like a Fanta. We arrived very early and admittedly check in was supposed to be 3pm, we were told we would get a call as soon as the room was ready and they would prioritise our room however it was 3:30pm before they called to say the room was ready. This was a pretty minor issue as we arrived early but then to have the room ready late was a little frustrating. When we arrived they asked us to pay the full bill however we had already paid, we had to wait while they chased up their finance team to find out we had indeed already paid for our visit. Overall I don't think we would be visiting again, I understand a lot of the negatives mentioned may seem picky to some, we might have built up a vision of the hotel from others experiences and felt let down. We are not hard to impress people, it just all built up to disappoint us.

Aida and Priscilla did a wonderful job in the spa. They were great. I highly recommend getting a massage from either one of these two. Also, The hotel is beautiful and in a great location in Barcelona. It has two great restaurants and the service is wonderful.

Entire Team took care of everything so seamlessly. They were so nice and kind. The room layout was perfect for us, and we were especially touched by the careful preparations made for our children. Also food was excellent! We never felt the need to eat out elsewhere.
