The One Barcelona

The One is The One to Book! We booked our hotel stay at The One Barcelona in a very upscale, nice neighborhood, close to several Gaudi buildings and a luxury shopping street called the Passieg de Gracia. We especially enjoyed the daily breakfast in the restaurant downstairs which was included with our stay. The concierge, with his golden keys on his lapels, was very helpful and professional. Our room was clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable, and nicely appointed. We liked the sleek look of the place and its proximity, not only to shopping, but also to public transportation. The rooms are upscale, as is the cost, but we felt that this was definitely money well spent. I am so glad we stayed here.

We had a lovely stay and dinner at The One Barcelona. Service was impeccable. For our last night in Barcelona we chose to have dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, Somni. Our server was Paolo. Our dining experience was wonderful: super food (we chose the tasting menu) and perfect service. Paolo was warm, knowledgeable, and professional. We highly recommend this quiet, excellent restaurant, Somni, for a perfect dinner, as well as the rooftop bar for drinks and casual tapas. The hotel staff were also uniformly fabulous and room lovely.

The hotel is wonderful. We have a corner suite which is beautiful. All of the extra details of the room elevate the experience. For example, when we arrived we found a bottle of champagne and chocolates! We had lunch at the roof top restaurant which was very good. Dinner was 5 star at the on site first floor restaurant and our waiter Paolo took his time to explain each dish and the wine selections. He was a professional and made our evening relaxing and memorable. This is our 3 rd visit to Barcelona and first at the One, this is definitely a hotel we will return to. The service is 5 star plus!

Wonderful stay at The One. The rooms and food are as expected for the price and staff rating. However, what really makes the place is the staff. Especially a BIG muchos gracias to Abril. She was there for breakfast every day. We have a 9 month baby with our party and Abril was kind, smiling, caring and thoughtful. It can be extra work and clean-up for the staff with a baby, but they didn't complain, in fact their delight at our wee lassie, was palpable. Abril, you made our trip so special.

We greatly enjoyed our meal. The burrata and croquettes were fantastic, service was wonderful, Paolo did a great job! Do recommend.
