Totally disgusted with hotel! Our flight out of Detroit was cancelled by Delta. We cancelled the hotel but it was not within cancellation policy. Obviously a cancelled flight we have no control over. Very very disappointing that hotel is so greedy and would not give us our money back for the room we did not stay in. Definitely would never ever recommend or stay at this hotel !!!

A fantastic hotel, located near the posh shopping streets of Barcelona, on walking distance of all the beauty of Barcelona. The rooms are modern and luxury. Above all, the service is magnificent. The staff is very friendly and does their 200% to make your stay a fantastic experience never to forget.

Excellent experience at this hotel.Enjoyed our room and the location was perfect. The staff of this hotel was exceptional. The true meaning of hospitality-they showed a real team effort. I needed extra ice packs for an injury and they asked how I was doing the next day. Concierge and dining staff five stars. We will stay at this hotel when we return to Barcelona and we have told our friends from the US that this is The One!-that they should stay here!

First, let's start with the hotel itself: The location is spectacular; the rooms are modern, well-designed, well-appointed, and comfortable. We did experience a tiny maintenance issue -- the handle in the Handheld Bidet Toilet Sprayer was broken, and even though I pointed it out to the housekeeping staff, it was never fixed. Fortunately, I don't use it, but had my girlfriend (who does) been with me, it would have been an issue. The other "technical" issue was the AC -- on the one hand, the system is incredibly silent, to a point I had never seen in any hotel before. That's good. The bad is that the thermostat doesn't seem to work very well; the temperature I set it to was not the one the room ended up in, and getting the room to the right temperature proved impossible -- it was always either too hot or too cold, which is unfortunate. I would suggest that you replace the thermostats with better ones. The Hotel staff, especially the check-in, was impeccable. The laundry service also worked well. They did an excellent job, with a tiny gripe about using plastic bags to return the clothes. It was a solid experience for a modern luxury hotel, only with minor flaws. The Mood Rooftop Bar was, on the other hand, a sordid disappointment. Because I will review the bar separately, I will only let the Rooftop bar experience affect the hotel's rating a little; however, it does matter in a hotel of this caliber. The problem wasn't the food and drink at Mood -- they were excellent. The problem is that while it is mind-blowingly expensive, the quality of the service was probably the worst I've had in a long, long time, all the way to the time to get the check; I had to get up and pretend I was leaving without paying to get the check, after waiting for an excessive amount of time. It seemed the staff was completely overwhelmed and needed to be better trained. In essence, it is both a quantity and quality issue with staff. That is inexcusable considering the caliber of the hotel and the prices charged at this bar -- my check was so stratospheric given the service I had to do a double take, and I'm used to the prices of Three-Michelin star restaurants in California. The thing is, this was not a 12-course meal with impeccable service, although it was priced as one. So, in the end, enjoy it for the location and comfort. Report any AC or fixture issues to the front desk, not housekeeping. Stay away from the Mood Bar.

This was a fantastic hotel! The room, restaurant and location were wonderful. However, the staff were the best we have ever encountered anywhere in the world. They were all friendly and very eager to assist us, and they all spoke English very well. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood in a very central location, which made it easy to walk to see the sites.
