The location of this hotel is too far out from city so can be very costly experience to get around hence we only went into city once in 5 days , the pool gets very busy and you need to be down at 9 to get a bed as there is not enough beds , the roof pools you need to pay a lot to use them so total rip off the hotel sits in a industrial area with nothing around it , restaurants and bar is extremely expensive the same as pool bar but then they got a captive audience, we arrived at 9 we were starving so had to go to bed hungry 5 star hotels don’t have vending machine well this one doesn’t and certainly wouldn’t encourage them by using the room bar , breakfast there was a huge choice but hot plate section was freezing cold in fact could break your teeth on the cold over crispy bacon , rooms were modern clean and great mattress think that’s my only positive thing about hotel , and on check in I paid balance my partner paid the 500€ or so he thought cause on checking out it was just aswell he checked his credit card statement while waiting for our pickup he had been charged 1400€ so we had to get that sorted took a few days for him to be credited back but it was just aswell he did check before leaving hotel so a warning to others , we won’t be back and unless you have very deep pockets stay clear Rant Over

Worst service ever. Paid for balcony and can’t even smoke or they don’t return my £500 deposit: what’s the point of a balcony then? Scamming robbing people. Also room was dirty and towels had not been washed properly. I hate this place never come to this hotel - there are much better options with better service!

We are on day two of a five-night stay at SLS Barcelona, and honestly, calling this place a luxury 5-star hotel is a joke. The moment we arrived, the tone was set. The front desk staff didn't bother with a basic welcome or even a smile. Total apathy. For a hotel that demands a steep 500-euro deposit right off the bat, the service is cold and unwelcoming. The room isn't much better—we walked in to find a huge crack in the balcony door, which is completely unacceptable for what we're paying. The hotel policies are just as frustrating. You can't even use the 6th-floor pool unless you pay extra for it, which I've never experienced at a resort like this. To top off the absurdity, they enforce a "clean air" policy that bans smoking on your own balcony, but people are allowed to smoke freely down by the pool. The billing situation is where things get really bad. When checking our room charges, we noticed the local tourist tax listed as 214 euros. For two people staying five nights, Barcelona's tax should come out to around 99 euros, so they are massively overcharging us. Couple that with 28 euros for a basic Caesar salad, and the whole stay feels like a relentless cash grab. Oh and on arrival our towels was dirty and had mascara stains on them Definitely not worth the money. Save your budget and stay somewhere else in Barcelona.

The hotel has stunning decor and the rooms are really comfortable and a decent size. It’s located a 10 minute ish drive from the city but there’s always taxis waiting outside so it’s really easy to get where you want at any time. The main pool area was nice to look at but there just wasn’t enough space for the amount of people and unfortunately beds were being saved with towels from early morning and no one was removing them if they weren’t being used. We ended up booking and paying for beds in Cosmico for two days because of this. We got this on a deal through British Airways and overall are happy with our experience. I’m not sure we would be if we’d paid the prices quoted directly on the website.

I went to a wedding in Barcelona on July 28th for 2 nights and stayed at the SLS hotel . Reception took a deposit of 200 euros to be held incase I had room service or used the mini bar . On departure I was given an invoice which shows I had a nil balance. My deposit has not been refunded and the hotel is not responding to any emails . If I receive my refund I will delete this review .
