Overall a great experience and stay with Montigo Resorts Nongsa. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We really appreciated the responsiveness of the 24/7 whatsapp butler and how quick the buggies came upon request. Room was clean, neat, and exactly how it looked in the pictures. We also enjoyed the amenities and food throughout the resort! However, we were slightly upset with the hot water system in the bathroom. While filling the bathtub, the hot water completely ran out when it was filled to about 1/4. Even after turning off the tap and waiting for about 30 mins, the hot water was still minimal, and all other taps/showers had no hot/warm water. Could consider upgrading the boiler for more constant hot water flow :)

I stayed at Montigo Resort Nongsa in early August, with the intention to relax and unwind after a busy year. Overall, I enjoyed my stay tremendously and came back refreshed. I had booked a standard room, and was lucky enough to be upgraded to a Spa Villa, thanks to the kindness of the staff. The villa is spacious and comfortable, built over 3 storeys: living room and pool at the bottom, bedrooms on the second floor, and terrace on the roof. The amount of space and amenities provided would make it perfect for a family. I particularly appreciated the quality of the beds and pillows, which were very soft and comfortable, and allowed me to get great quality sleep. I noticed some parts of the villa seemed to be getting a bit old and worn out, but this didn’t bother me. Halfway through my stay, there was an incident, where a rainstorm during the night damaged parts of the villa I was staying in. I was immediately moved to another villa, and noticed that this one was in better condition, with more amenities and nicer decorations. Though I had not been bothered in my previous villa, it struck me that some rooms within the same price bracket vary in quality. The food at the resort was very good. Multiple restaurants offered a range of styles to enjoy, and I found enough variety to keep me occupied during my stay. Pantai was my favourite restaurant at the resort. The atmosphere, with its open air wooden lounge with a view over the bay and the Singapore towers, is extremely comfortable and cozy. The music selection is great and makes the place feel calm and pleasant. The food is especially great, with deep and rich flavours, and the portions are very generous. It is worth noting that, while the food is reasonably priced, the inclusion of tax and service charge make the prices soar on the final bill. I had come to relax and found ample opportunity to. The Beach Bar area was too noisy for me, so I spent the majority of my stay on the beautiful beach, with its view of the Singapore towers. The beach is very quiet as it is close to the spa, and I noticed very few people came, so I was alone most of the time. This also meant that there were no staff around the beach, and so some amenities were missing which could have made the beach more comfortable (mattresses for the sunbeds etc). I still very much enjoyed it. The water is not very clean, owing to the proximity to Singapore, and there are rocks in the water. Signs put up mentioned the risk of stone fish in the rocks and discouraged swimming, but I found a spot with fewer rocks and had no issue. The spa was also a highlight of my stay. I found the massages to be very high quality, with a wide range of services offered, allowing me to try out different styles. It is right next to the beach, so you can hear the waves during your massage. It was overall extremely pleasant. Finally, the staff provided a very high quality service. Every request was taken care of quickly and efficiently, and I found the staff to be extremely kind and helpful no matter the situation. It was a pleasure to meet and speak to the staff, which made my trip even nicer. At the spa, Ruly, Usna, and Diah, gave me extremely pleasant massages, and Jasmine at reception was lovely to interact with. At Pantai, Ely was particularly kind in taking care of my special requests, and Yuyun, the manager, was kind enough to give me dessert on the house. At Tiigo, I really enjoyed talking with Ventina. I am of course missing many others whose names I did not catch. My point is simply that the quality of the service made my stay even better. Overall, Montigo’s proximity to Singapore, as well as its reasonable price, makes it a very convenient get-away to relax. I would come again!

Stayed 2nights, mature couple. We was collected from the port and taken to the resort 5 mins drive away. Staff at check in desk were extremly polite although check in took around 25 mins, Even though we were a little early, they allowed us to check in as the room was ready. The rooms are excellent, spacious, clean and the plunge pool is a great addition. In general, all the staff were fantastic, very polite and always smiling as they greet you (best asset). We tried the in room BBQ experience the first night and we were not disappointed. Two staff arrived and set everything up in minutes, later the food arrived and then we were left alone to cook and dine in private. Food for the BBQ was ample and decent quality. The following day we had a couples massage session which was as relaxing as it gets, lovely massage staff made you feel welcome from the moment you enter. That evening we had our only disppointing meal at Tadds. The place was empty, that should have been a sign, and we had to send the mains back. The Thai beef salad was swimming in water, and the chicken tikka very salty. Even though we made our thoughts known to the junior staff waiting on, we were still charged full price. The only other negatives to note is that the alcoholic drinks there are very expensive (even dearer than Singapore), recommend you take your own wine. The resort is also very spread out and hilly with lots of steps to negociate to our room. They do provide golf buggy pick ups to ferry you around the place, but waiting times can be prolonged when busy. Despite these couple of negatives, we would return again in the future.
