We totally enjoyed our three night stay in July. The location of the hotel on Little Traverse Bay is just spectacular. Add in the beautiful landscaping and you will feel like you have escaped to a little slice of paradise! We experienced excellent customer service during our stay, from the sweet treats at the pool to the kind servers at the breakfast buffet. We hope to return next summer!

We had a little hiccup at check-in, but Carter provided the type of customer service you rarely see these days. He was polite and empathetic while providing a solution. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. There are so many small details that make the stay fantastic. The fitness center is nice. The hot tub and pool are great as well with ample chairs and towels. There is even a sandy beach area by the lake, which you can swim in during the summer. We are already planning our next stay thanks to a wonderful experience.

We did not stay here but ordered dessert and ate it on the back porch facing the lake. Enjoyed beautiful sunset views. The Apple Brown Betty was fantastic.

What a disappointment! Don’t waste your money. We reserved a 3 bedroom cottage for our family of 8. No one called us when the room was ready - we had to go to desk at 4:30 to ask what the status was. Lunch at Vintage while we were waiting was $500 - with three kids meals. From the moment we arrived all we heard was “we’re short staffed”. The property doesn’t get to charge me over $4,000 for a three night stay and then tell me there short staffed. Open table at Vintage but they wouldn’t seat guests because ‘they’re short staffed’. I went to the concierge desk at 7:00 to get help with a dinner reservation - oh, she’s not here tonight, and we’re too busy to help you. The beds are uncomfortable and need new mattresses, the air conditioning was freezing in one floor and hardly working on the upper floor. We were so looking forward to this trip and had to spend too much money for a very disappointing experience. We live in Michigan and love northern Michigan. We will not be back. We’ll spend our money elsewhere:(.

We were here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and our 20 year anniversary and from the start the staff, service and amenities were great. Fitness room is great and for the exception of the heated pool being closed we took advantage of the hot tub when everyone else didn’t….leaving us to have it to ourselves. They left a bottle of champagne and kind note as well. Price was much more tolerable than the summer rates as well. Room was great with kitchenette and fireplace. We stayed on the quarry side which allowed us a great stay without breaking the bank. Will b back if we see the same reviews next year!
