Great Property - S'mores and Sunsets

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Really nice property with fantastic views. A family suite worked out great for our family of 4. King bed in 1 room and a living room that had a pull out couch and murphy bed provided plenty of sleeping spaces. Breakfast is not included when using Marriott points but is when paying. Lawn games for the kids. Pool area was fun with good drinks and food and live music one night. Short walk to other restaurants and shops in Bay Harbor. The evening ritual of s'mores (provided by the hotel) and gathering around the firepit for sunset over the lake is great.

Wonderful stay!

We had a fabulous stay at the Inn at Bay Harbor. We were treated like royalty. (Or at least it seemed that was to us). Suite was beautiful over looking the lake and lawn games and pool. Breakfast buffet was great with many items to choose from and was included with the stay. We made the best of the weather which was cloudy most of the time and one night had an incredible sunset. I had a wonderful spa treatment while my husband golfed along the waterfront. We will stay again for sure.

Lovely 29th anniversary

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed 3 nights for our anniversary. It was a great experience, but for one incident. The price was good for what we got. The room was clean and roomy. The staff was very nice, especially Alexandra ( sp?) at the desk, and Evonne ( sp?), who served us every morning at breakfast. The food was delicious, also. Alexandra had a tray of covered strawberries sent to our room, and the gift card was unexpected. I think it was because we were new customers or maybe because of our anniversary. The pool was great, and there were literally 6 people there. However, that was our only negative experience. We were there for 1 hour. It was very quiet. The employee outside the bar was just hanging out the entire time, staring at the towel lady. Then, he sneezed hard, then wiped his nose with his hand, and then sneezed again and wiped his nose ON HIS ARM while looking right at me. He didn't go wash his hands. I'm not a germaphobe. I've been an RN over half my life. Disgusting. Maybe it's cultural, as my Haitian patients spit and such. Still... But, on a good note, the grounds, the lake, the area all lovely. We will come back someday.

Phenomenal property!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Pulling up to this resort felt like I was getting a stay at Disney's Grand Floridian. It's beautiful with flowers blooming at the entrance. Reception was welcoming and explained everything the property has to offer. We used our FNA (Free Night Award) to stay and as Marriott Titanium, we were offered either 1000 points, free breakfast or a $10 food credit. We used the bikes, free if you are willing to pedal, $25/hour for eBikes. Once we returned, we had s'mores by the campfire, packets are complimentary at the reception desk. We even found free laundry on our floor (2nd) that we were able to do, while enjoying our in-room fireplace and our robes. The view from our room was stunning and we could hear the crashing of the waves against the shore as we relaxed before bed. Pool is open (mid May, but only 45º outside) and heated. I saw folks in the pool and hot tub, while it's quite chilly outside, so it must be decently heated. There's hammocks and a human sized chess board on the grounds as well. As to the resort fee, I called ahead to find out how much it would be, since we got our room as an FNA. I was told the resort fee is usually 10% which is crazy! But for us it would be $10.30. I made a note and prepared to address whatever cost came up upon arrival. All for naught. We weren't charged a resort fee at all. Upon checkout, our bill was $0. Nothing charged. For reference it was a free night award with the Chase credit card and we are Titanium Elite. I would come again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

Beautiful property with spacious rooms and welcoming staff. Friendly bar tender, although the drink prices were high, even for a hotel. Shuttle service into town was a nice perk. Thank you, Tyler! We didn't take advantage of many programs or facilities, but there seemed to be a lot of options available.
