Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa

The Omni Bedford Springs is absolutely one of our favorite resorts to get away too. Especially in the fall when the colors are absolutely beautiful The spa is second to none across the country Emma historic rooms and lobby atmosphere are just perfect. Not to mention their pop-up bars that are expertly themed are such a great addition and a welcome surprise.

This was the absolute worst experience in 40 years of travel. Arrived at resort which was over run with high school kids having a homecoming event. It seems in conversations while waiting 2 hours for the room, many people were from surrounding areas go for cocktails and hang out but don't stay. That doesn't make it easy for those paying signifcant price to stay are fighting for services with transients. This was reason that the only entrance to the hotel when we arrived had so many cars +40 backing up to entrance that the valet was so understaffed and couldn't handle. We finally got our room and it wasn't the one I specifically requested twice in conversations in the week and month leading up to the stay. The room itself looked directly into the roof of the pool, hadn't the door to the porch and was in poor condition with dirty drapes and a shade partly hanging down, one bed had head imprints from person laid on it. This was our 40th anniversary so when my concerns were brushed off to the fact that the hotel was full and nothing could be done was insulting after I spent time checking before the stay for making sure it would be the right room. They offered to possibly move us to another room but not until another day and then only if available but they didn't think would be one. Further, I was absolutely astonished that everyone wasn't checked into the hotel but apparently they were more important to have their room I had requested way before. At the end, I had to reload my car again with our bags that sat exactly on the trolly we originally pulled in 2hours prior and then do traffic control to get our car out of the entrance... was the last straw. My wife who thought this was a great idea for a 40th suprise stay was so upset, we wound up leaving and driving back another 3.5 hours home. My plans for a good couple days of relaxation turned into a nightmare at an amusement park atomosphere at what was supposedly a five star resort. I will never recommend OMNI to another person. I've traveled with Marriot and other top chains but never once in all my extensive personal and business travel had this occur. Beware and find a resort that knows how to run a business and caters to those paying the high prices to stay.

Had great time at Bedford Springs Omni. Celebrated our 34th anniversary with Spa Experiences and Massage/Facial. Loved the food at Crystal Room and Frontier Tavern. Wait Staff was accommodating and engaging! Hope to come back soon!

We were excited to visit the Bedford Resort for our first time, and paid $490 for a one night stay. The room was nice (except for a filthy glass) and the food in the Frontier Tavern delicious. But the team of young servers at the restaurant desk acted more like they represented a bad fast food joint. They were pointedly rude and uncommunicative and we had to wait 45 minutes (this one eatery did not ask for a reservation as did the others or we would have made one) though there were numbers of empty tables. And this began at 8:15 on a Sunday night. The front desk staff were all excellent and the floor manager there did hear us out and removed the $41 resort fee. That was a nice gesture but didn’t make up for our treatment by the restaurant staff, which included being laughed at as we finally entered the restaurant. We spent good money, and were treated by this restaurant desk staff as though we were not worthy of being there. Our server was good, however, and did apologize for the experience and gave us two free drinks.

Not an adult style resort experience. This is more a place for convention and group meetings. A place for the masses. Restaurants just ok generic. Worst was our historic room location overlooking very noisy children’s family play area. Not good I’d recommend booking room at the far end nearer golf course.
