Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa

Be very careful if you are booking a wheelchair accessible room. If indeed you need accessibility, they do NOT have ANY grab bars in the bathroom at all. The only thing accessible is the wheelchair fits in the room. The front desk was made aware of my concern and did nothing.

We love this resort. It has so much to offer whether you are spending a few days, the night or just stopping in for the day. Shopping, restaurants, spa, golf and everything you would expect from a world class resort. But wait, there is more! It is set in the beautiful Pennsylvania mountains with hiking trails at your doorstep. The area and hotel are steeped in history dating to Revolutionary War days. The walls of the resort are decked out in vintage photographs thanks to the "on-site" photographers that were staffed at the resort in the early days. Enjoy the fire pit and s'mores in the evening. Events are happening all the time so check their schedule in advance. The autumn is the best time to enjoy the outdoors. On this trip our room was in a wing off the spa which was a bit of a hike from the main part of the resort and a little forgotten by the staff. I would recommend a room in another area. We had dinner at the 1796 Room and breakfast in the Crystal Room....both had interesting menus and were wonderful. There is also a pub and coffee shop that are more casual. Ask to sign up for a historical tour when you arrive! We had a wonderful time.

Family of 5 with children under the age of 11. We absolutely loved our stay. We enjoyed the outdoor pool, drinks and our kids had ice cream. Preston was our server (going to school in PGH) and was friendly, personable and made sure we always had drinks. The Indoor pool is amazing and almost magical. It was very calming. Maybe the spring water? My kids loved working on puzzles, playing checkers inside and the giant chess game along with yard games outside. We bought a marshmallow kit that included enough to make 4+ smores. That was a nice treat for our kids to roast marshmallows and hang out in the rocking chairs. The Chrystal restaurant breakfast was fantastic. We felt so relaxed during our stay and truly look forward to another stay. My only thoughts would hope they may consider having an organized kids event(s) during times when more families are there. Regardless, we will be back and would recommend 100%.

The Bedford Springs Resort is a wonderful place. Its old world charm and history makes staying there a unique experience. The food options are good, the Spa is great and the number of activities available from lounging, puzzles to golf, archery, hiking etc are great! The staff is wonderful! They are very helpful and courteous. There are a few minor things that can be improved but nothing worth deterring anyone from visiting. Its a wonderful experience! We have now stayed twice and we are working into our travel plans for next year. We plan on making it an annual visit!

We recently stayed at this resort, and it was entirely subpar for a "Luxury" hotel and the OMNI brand. While the cost reflects a luxury hotel, the actual condition of the property was terrible. We encountered dirty carpets, dirty rooms, trash on the floors, and empty cups and plates randomly lying around the property. The grounds themselves are nice, but absolutely everything else needs serious care. The service was horrible from start to finish. From registration to dinner and meals, the staff was unhelpful, unwelcoming, and inconsiderate. You would think if you are paying $475 a night you wouldn't have to wait in a line of 30 people just to get coffee. The hotel needs to place coffee in other areas of the property and treat guests like guests. The dining logistics make no sense. We had a dinner reservation for 6:30 PM. We arrived at 6:25 PM and were forced to stand in line for 18 minutes just to be seated because only one single person was seating people. Why even have reservations if this is how it is managed? Communication at check-in was nonexistent. When we registered, we were given absolutely nothing that explained the events, activities, or hotel layout—it was just, "Here are your keys." It wasn't until our very last day that we accidentally found out about the Chef's Table, the Murder Mystery Dinner, archery, and even yoga. The room itself had major maintenance and cleanliness issues. When I went to my room the first time, I tried to lock the door and the deadbolt wouldn't even lock. On top of that, the mattress was almost 2 feet longer than the bed frame, causing it to jut out so badly that when I sat on the end of the bed, I literally fell off. To make matters worse, there was visible dirt in the shower, forcing me to clean it myself before using it. This stay was a massive disappointment. This place desperately needs to be renovated, and the staff needs to learn to either enjoy working with guests or find a new career. I hope OMNI will preserve this beautiful historic hotel and spend the money to make it what a luxury hotel should be.
