Four Seasons Hotel Beijing

Having previously stayed at several Four Seasons properties and experienced their renowned service culture, our expectations for this stay were understandably high - unfortunately, the hotel didn’t quite live up to them. On the positive side, our room was classy, elegant, and very clean, with a spacious and well-designed bathroom. Housekeeping stood out as one of the most impressive aspects of our stay, displaying exceptional attention to detail and care. The breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of both local and international dishes, and the service there was attentive and efficient. We also truly enjoyed the SPA, which offered breathtaking panoramic views of the city and excellent sauna and jacuzzi facilities. However, several aspects fell short of what one expects from the Four Seasons brand. Our dinner at the hotel’s Chinese fine dining restaurant was disappointing - service was disorganized, with dishes not served simultaneously for all guests at the table, and major items like duck and chicken were unavailable, leaving us with limited options despite good taste. The Club Lounge experience was especially disappointing. While the food selection was a highlight, offering a wide variety of local dishes and some excellent Chinese red wine, the service was far below expectations. Despite four attendants being present, one spent time playing on their phone while two others were engaged in a private conversation. This left only one person actually attending to guests. There was little to no attention to detail, and the atmosphere felt unprofessional and disengaged - by far the weakest Club Lounge service experience we've had. Lastly, although our room was clean and maintained, it showed clear signs of aging, with poor window insulation and several features in need of renovation. We sincerely hope to see improvements in the future and that the brand’s high standards will be more consistently implemented across all areas of the guest experience.

The Cantonese dishes were absolutely delightful, and the professionalism of the restaurant staff made the experience even more enjoyable. This hotel is absolutely spectacular. The service I received for my week long stay was second to none. I have stayed at many Four Seasons properties around the world, including Paris and St Jean Cap Ferrat, and the service levels at the Beijing property exceeds even these other world class properties. I was travelling for business however my business trip overlapped with my birthday. My partner made the hotel aware it was my birthday before I arrived as a surprise and the staff made me feel so special!! They decorated my room with balloons and a lovely message on the window! At breakfast each day (which is a wonderful breakfast with wide selection and fresh produce), the staff made me feel so special, always remembering my preferences. On my birthday they even organised a birthday pastry and traditional soup. It was truly special! After a busy day working, I came back to the most delicious birthday cake in my room as well. Then on my last day, they organised the most delicious farewell pastry and gift. Given I was away from home and my family on my birthday, I can’t think of a better place to have spent it! The level of service is absolutely incredible and a true credit to the world class hospitality offered by this professional team. I can’t remember everyone’s names but thank you so much again, a truly memorable stay. Next time I’m in Beijing I know exactly where to stay!! Thank you so much!!

Our tour guide David from Peony travel was amazing! We had such a great time and learnt so much from him, he took us to the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall! Loved the hotel too, everyone was very friendly and the tea garden was very relaxing.

Jenny is an amazing guide, very the patience and great explaining the history. We loved to come with Her. We totally recommend the tour with her if you are planning to come to china. Its very important to go with someone like her that knows everything
