Grand Hyatt Beijing

Centrally location. Right next to WangFuJing street with all the shops and nearby restaurants. Easy to get to any parts of the city. Location is near to Tiananmen Square, walking distance.

As a Hyatt Globalist who had not returned in six years, I arrived with genuine anticipation. I was upgraded to a Suite King Premium, which on paper sounded impressive. Unfortunately, the reality was anything but. Although the suite appeared renovated, it was poorly appointed and felt far from “premium.” The air conditioning had been converted from individually controlled to centrally controlled. In a city like Beijing, that matters. The previous setup was far more comfortable and flexible. The centralized system felt restrictive and noticeably less effective. For a hotel positioning itself as a flagship business property, the absence of a proper working desk was baffling. Instead, there was only a round dining table serving as a substitute workspace. That is simply not suitable for business travelers who need ergonomic and functional work setups. Lighting was another major issue. Even with every light turned on, the suite felt dim and gloomy. It lacked warmth, brightness, and the sense of openness you would expect from a premium suite. The most concerning part, however, was that the suite assigned to me looked completely different from the photos shown in the hotel’s app. I genuinely struggled to believe it was the same room category. If the images are outdated or staged differently, that should be clearly disclosed. What I received did not match the marketing presentation. The Grand Club during Happy Hour was equally disappointing. It was overcrowded to the point of chaos. Babies were screaming continuously, guests were intensely competing for food, and the overall atmosphere felt tense and rushed. A club lounge should provide a calm, refined environment to unwind or have a conversation. This felt more like a crowded cafeteria than a premium executive lounge. As a Globalist, upgrades are appreciated, but they should reflect the brand’s standards. Sadly, this stay fell far short of expectations. I left questioning whether I would consider returning again.

Very good location and welcoming staff. Close to Tiananmen Square, and easy access to stores and restaurants. Restaurants within Hotel is also good with reasonable prices

My family and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Beijing in May 2025 for 4 nights, and our experience was truly amazing. We booked one of the premium 2-bedroom suites with access to the grand club and the facilities were top-notch from start to finish. The service from the staff was extremely friendly and professional from the moment we arrived. All our needs were attended to promptly and attentively, making us feel truly valued as guests. Most impressive was the special attention from the Guest Relations team who took the initiative to prepare a birthday surprise for our twin daughters. This small touch—complete with complimentary treats—was very touching and made their birthdays unforgettable. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with an elegant design that reflected the standards of a five-star hotel. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the grand club, and both were excellent. The menu choices were varied, with delicious flavors and excellent quality food. Overall, the Grand Hyatt Beijing provided an amazing stay for our family. From the personalized service, to the comfort of the room, to the attention to small details—everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for luxurious and family-friendly accommodation in downtown Beijing.
