Old Ritz
This is actually Ritz Financial Street, and the address on tripadvisor is also slightly off. The newer Ritz is at Chaoyang. And they’re building a 3rd one at Beichen next to the conference centre This Ritz is worn, but centrally located , and next to Seasons mall. Check in was slightly robotic, i got an upgrade on the app due to my status The suite was large but everything felt 1990s. There are Diptique toiletries (Intercontinental uses Byredo and Edition uses Le labo). Tv has CNN Wrote a seperate review for the all day restaurant Although a Ritz, the hotel cannot escape the bad habits of some guests. There were people smoking in the lobby lounge, and i had to tell the staff. Then there were drunkards shouting in the lobby. Disappointing the staff didn’t do anything about it nor did they have security

Nice hotel but don’t expect English spoken service
Very friendly staff, good rooms at reasonable rates. Good location. Breakfast is extremely expensive, be prepared. Nobody speaks any English, they all use the phone apps to translate. Although this is not abnormal in China it is not acceptable in a Ritz, they should hire staff that understands basic English, can understand the need for help in transportation, the menu, simple tasks.

Wonderful staff, great location, reasonable prices
We had a great experience here. The hotel staff are wonderful, and they were very helpful in arranging anything we needed. Many thanks to the concierge for the Great Wall tickets and taxi rides, and to the housekeeping staff for the flexibility and water bottles. Will we stay here again? Absolutely!

Not for bonvoy members
Titanium member alert- if you are titanium members of Marriott and deserve to get all the eligibility of hotels then this is not the correct place to be. Even with us app showing all our eligibility to have lounge access and other amenities they denied and said it need to be paid and not free. We do not honour Marriott bonvoy benefits. After showing room booking details also they did not agree and simply denied the entry. Very bad attitude of person at receptions. Attached my booking details
