There were a few hiccups and an uncomfortable employee experience. And, as an American, the thermostat/lack of AC was a real bummer. The entrance + check-in process started off with that top of the top level Ritz service. I stayed in a double room. The interior of the room is dated, but the finishes are done so well that you don't really notice. I also loved the Diptyque toiletries. Uncomfortable employee experience: 15 minutes after I checked in and entered into my room to start getting settled and ready to take a shower, there were knocks on my door. I didn't answer because I was in the middle of doing something and figured they would knock again if it wasn't a mistake. To my surprise, a male Ritz employee used his key to open the door to my room (???). This was a very uncomfortable experience for me as a female traveler alone in my room. If he had done this literally 5 minutes later I would've been in the shower and had my privacy violated. He ended up asking if I needed anything, like laundry. I don't think hotel staff using their keys to open your door 15 minutes after you checked in is acceptable for non-emergencies. He could've left a note or called instead if he didn't hear an answer. Thermostat: it was a hotter couple of days in the Beijing winter during my stay. The hotel accommodated my initial request for a high floor, but it ended up being really, really hot because the room was facing south and getting a lot of sun. The thermostat situation was not good. I turned it down super low and it never really cooled down the room, even in the evening. The hotel nicely switched me to a room facing north, which was much better. It would've not been great if the hotel was fully booked and that wasn't possible. I asked a hotel employee about this after and they said it was because they already turned on the heating system of the hotel and that the hotel uses "natural" heating and cooling. Not sure what that means. Food: I had room service breakfast one day of seafood congee and fruit. The presentation was beautiful. The congee, though, just seemed like a couple pieces of random chopped seafood thrown in. Fruit platter was excellent. I also dined at the restaurant downstairs and had an excellent club sandwich and fantastic service by both the dining host and wait staff. Honestly, the only good parts of my stay were (most of) the incredibly helpful staff that deserve to be acknowledged and the great finishes in the room, but the above experiences soured me on this particular Ritz.

I had the chance to stay at RC Beijing FD. I could not make a better choice. The staff has been so friendly prior, during my arrival and even after. Mrs. Itiziar from Spain giving by email and in person and Salem welcome, as well as Head Concierge Allen and Jeremy helping me to get tickets for the Fonidden city and other suggestions Besides I would like to thank Fanna, Zola and Allen at the front desk as well as Shiraz who offered me to have a personalized room key with my name, and Andy they were so gentle. Also I do not want to forget Sid a tall bell boy who assisted me to get to the Temple of heaven and also we ha d a chat about some wooden bracelet. Sometimes we do not have to forget that we are guest but those people working in the hospitality they do their best even though there is sometimes language barriers. As long you smile you can always a winner and as long as guest we act with gentle attitude. I would say that Chine is a great country to discover 谢谢

Our recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street was outstanding. We booked a Club Level room and from start to finish, the experience embodied everything we love about The Ritz-Carlton brand. Before our arrival, I was in contact with Itziar Maroto who took the time to learn about our trip. This was both our first visit to China and a special occasion. From the very first email, she was proactive, responsive, and thoughtful. When we arrived, we were welcomed to a beautifully decorated room complete with personalized gifts, handwritten notes, and even a custom Ritz-Carlton room key created just for us. Itziar’s care and thoughtfulness set the tone for our entire stay and exemplifies what makes The Ritz-Carlton so special. She even went out of her way to help us get gifts from the Beijing Country Club, arranging for them to be picked up and delivered directly to us. That level of service is rare, and it was deeply appreciated. She works with Yasmine who was also wonderful and they both helped to make our stay really unforgettable. The Club Lounge was another highlight. Candy is the manager but the entire team delivered impeccable hospitality throughout our stay. Every interaction was warm, gracious, and sincere. Language could occasionally be a small barrier but they handled it with ease and professionalism, using translation apps to ensure nothing was lost in communication. Candy, Fannie, and the rest of the ladies in the lounge were consistently attentive, kind, and committed to making every moment special. This stay reminded us exactly why we choose The Ritz-Carlton...because of people like Itziar, Yasmine, Candy, and the entire team went above and beyond to create not just a luxurious stay, but an unforgettable experience. They turned our first visit to China into something we will never forget.

I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street with my husband and toddler between the last week of June and early July 2025. The hotel is very well located near tourist attractions like the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Although it’s a hotel frequented by business travelers, my family and I always felt very well taken care of. The rooms are spacious with ample space for luggage, and the bathroom is beautiful and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I loved that they provided a small robe and slippers for our toddler. I would like to specially thank Itziar Maroto, who helped us have a great experience during our entire stay in Beijing. When I told her which places we wanted to visit, she offered suggestions on how and when to visit them, making our itinerary much easier. She also recommended restaurants and types of food suitable for our toddler, as this was quite a challenge during our trip to China. She even helped us make a reservation, which was difficult for us to do on our own, due to the language barrier. She was always ready to assist with any questions or requests we had. I recommend booking with breakfast included, especially if traveling with children. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options to suit all tastes, and the service was attentive and efficient, particularly from Chris Li, the restaurant manager, who was always mindful of our needs and suggested foods our toddler might enjoy. In summary, my stay at the Ritz-Carlton Beijing was a really great experience, and I recommend it to anyone who, like me, values excellent service and seeks a beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful place to stay.

This hotel was next to financial street mall and not far from forbidden city. The pool and gym on the basement were very impressive with a huge sized relaxed area and sauna room and jacuzzi pool. I received a room upgrade to a suite which was very comfortable and luxurious. Every staff was accommodating and helpful.
