Rosewood Beijing features one-of-a-kind luxury that reflects the capital city’s compelling culture, history, and geography. The staff are young, friendly and numerous. The rooms include a walk-in closet, a huge bathroom, and an office area. They are also filled with decorative touches to make you feel at home. The elegant bathrooms are decorated in marble with bespoke toiletries from Italian stylist Lorenzo Villoresi. The two restaurants are among the most delightful in Beijing, offering exquisite cuisine and exceptional service in a Chinese-influenced and modern atmosphere. The Country Kitchen serves northern Chinese cuisine and Red Bowl offers ever popular Chinese hot pots.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Bistrot Bar in Beijing Rosewood. The level of service I received was unacceptable and clearly influenced by prejudice. I was dressed simply and casually, and it was obvious that the staff judged me based on my appearance rather than treating me as a valued guest. Throughout my time there, the staff—especially a very short female server, around 140 cm tall—completely ignored me while being overly attentive to other guests who appeared more affluent. She was rude, arrogant, and made no effort to provide service or even acknowledge my presence. This kind of behavior is not what you expect from a hotel of this caliber. It reflects extremely poor management and a lack of basic training in hospitality and respect for all guests, regardless of how they look or what they wear. I would not recommend this bar or the Beijing Rosewood to anyone who values genuine service and respect. A truly shameful experience.

Overall poor experience for the money — there are much better hotels in Beijing - go elsewhere We were traveling with 2 kids Our rate included an upgrade if available. We asked for more space — the hotel “upgraded” us to a smaller room The rooms are showing their age. Cabinets were chipped. Tiles are missing from the pool floor. In room dining food was mediocre and expensive At checkout, the (very rude) assistant front service manager Cloe Yan insisted: - our “hotel credit” did not apply to in-room dining, only to specific restaurants - that we had been told - but could not show anywhere where it had been written - that she owned the hotel, and that the hotel had no complaints line or other person we could ask, which is obviously false — assistant front service managers don’t own hotels. This type of service is offensive, annoying, and wastes my time. I hope someone from the hotel reads this and fixes it. If they’re limiting a “hotel credit credit” to specific outlets - they should write it down or say it somewhere. Otherwise, it’s just lying. I would avoid this hotel. Not worth your time.

All of the above. An amazing place to stay. I have been everywhere in Beijing and nothing comes close. Great rooms. A great lounge with friendly people. A special thanks to Nicolas Joyce and Aria at the Manor lounge.
