Very nice overall; only reason the rating wasn't perfect is that our room was facing the street on a lower floor, and the traffic was noisy at night. The housekeeping staff was very nice and very helpful, as was everyone at the front desk and restaurant.

Staff at reception lovely, the room decor was not to my taste but nice. We booked to have dinner. Price two courses for thirty pounds very reasonable. Our waiter again was great but the food was terrible, starters arrived cold. I ordered the pie which was suppose to be steak. What arrived was mince, under the pastry lid was Luke warm grey mince that hadn't been cooked long enough so it was tough. Potatoes and veg was fine. Breakfast the next morning, continental very nice and good selection no butter though just the packets of flora. We waited twenty minutes and still not asked what we wanted for our cooked option. We had to ask, my partner ordered the fry which was agian cold, the bread was hard he did say the sausages were good. I had eggs benidict, the egg was hard and the rest was cold. For a five star hotel it fell short. I would never stay again.

My mum booked afternoon tea for my birthday but the booking was mixed up and it turns out we showed up four days late. A lovely lady at the desk (Trisha I hope I got your name right) sat us down and managed to fit us in for the full experience. Already we were off to a winner. Then we had the absolute pleasure of being attended to buy the wonderful Terry. He is an absolute class act - friendly, warm, and gave stellar service. He went above and beyond for us despite us technically being a “squeeze in” booking. He kept us topped up with prosecco and we really enjoyed being able to steal him from his duties for a wee chat. The experience was concluded with a wonderful conversation with Anna at the end. So so funny and we could have talked all day. A family experience from the Fitz. We have been to numerous afternoon tea and none have been as high quality (or high value) as the Fitz. We couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome and the staff are an absolute credit to the hotel. Too many luxury hotels rest on the laurels of their name. The Fitz staff truly live up to the name and I do hope their senior staff see this review and reward them for such incredible service. We will definitely be back and, frankly, don’t see us bothering to try anywhere else in Belfast. The Fitzwilliam have cemented a firm place in our hearts. Greatest thanks, Tyler

There afternoon tea is fantastic. The food and drink were exceptional. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only criticism is that it is served in the foyer at very low tables. It would be better served in a dining room at a proper table.

Air conditioning/ventilation did not work. Hotel breakfast was average but not at the standard I would expect from a 5 star hotel. Outside of this the hotel was fine, and is located close to city centre so is quite convenient. Rooms are of average size, and bed was fairly comfortable.

Very enjoyable stay in the Fitzwilliam, perfect location for exploring the city. The staff are friendly and courteous. We stayed in one of the corner rooms which was very comfortable with a great view of the city. Would be 100% happy to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The restaurant was fantastic and the room had us sleeping in the lap of luxury. Look forward to visiting again soon.
