Since 1873, The Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni has been one of most elegant hotels in the Lake Como area and the only 5-star deluxe hotel in Bellagio. From April to October, the salons and the large lakeside garden offer guests the chance to enjoy a holiday far from the madding crowd and close to nature immersed in one of the most beautiful panoramas in the world. Lovers of peace and quiet can alternate the pleasure of a poolside drink with beauty treatments and programs at Villa Serbelloni SPA, the hotel's own beauty farm. Or they can set off from the private dock for a motorboat trip to the historic gardens along the lake which, in Springtime, attract tourists from all over the world: especially for the wonderful flowering of the azaleas. For those enjoying sports, they can take advantage of the hotel gym, squash & tennis courts, a variety of water sports, or enjoy delightful walks or take a mountain bike out on the Bellagio promontory, before freshening up in the swimming pool overlooking the lake.

Elegant, sophisticated, luxurious. A truly unmatched property, inside and out. This was definitely one of the best hotels my husband and I have visited, and maybe the most comfortable bed in Italy! The service in the hotel was impeccable, really making this feel like a special place. We enjoyed the restaurants and piano lounge, and the breakfast room and spread were, again I can only think of the word "unmatched". Just stunning. I would recommend this place to anyone. But the beautiful pool you see in almost every picture of the hotel? I do have to say it was a disappointment. For almost a year I fantasized about relaxing next to this pool right on the edge of beautiful Lake Como, cocktail in hand, light bossa nova playing in the background. But in reality, it's packs of kids screaming, running back and forth between the pool and the hotel's swim platform in the lake, belly flopping off of the diving board, with incessant pleas for mom to watch and toddlers in water wings squealing as they learn how to swim. For some, this is great and family-friendly. For others like me, hoping desperately to relax and read a book all day next to this gorgeous pool on Lake Como? Not going to happen. Not the vibe. At least in high summer. An additional disappointment was the service at the pool. The pool and beach areas were full throughout the day, and there were only two people to fulfil orders for drinks and food. We waited 10-15 minutes each time we went for towels, another 20+ for menus and water, and mostly just resorted to going to the kitchen area to ask for something. We would have definitely ate and drank more if the staff were more plentiful or attentive. But all around, just top-notch. A very special place that we will always remember fondly, and hope to return to.

Spent four nights at this lovely spot on Lake Como with family (two teenagers). We all agreed it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The pool is right on the water with breathtaking views of Lake Como and towns across the lake. There is a great area to swim in the lake with a diving board and platform right there-a real treat. The hotel itself is spectacular with unique art and decorations throughout. The service is top notch throughout, with friendly and energetic staff at every angle. The town of Bellagio itself gets a little crowded and while pretty, is not all that interesting beyond a casual stroll with some typical shops you might see elsewhere in Italy. It's really the natural beauty of Lake Como, and the setting of this hotel, that stands out and makes this a destination that is absolutely worth coming to, as we hope to do again. As for the food, the breakfast is great, in a lovely banquet hall. The bars are also fun, with a great gin and tonic experience as a special touch. The one thing that could use improving is that the food at the casual restaurant, bars, and pools was of limited variety and got repetitive over the stay. We did not eat at the fine dining restaurant. All in all, highly recommended, and while expensive, we felt it comparatively to other five-star hotel, was priced fairly. We booked far in advance which may have helped.

Elegance, sophistication and historical charm, this is the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. Our favorite pastime when on holiday in Bellagio is to enjoy a lovely crafted cocktail or glass of wine while listening to the musicians perform in the grand ballroom. The staff is exceptionally attentive and no visit would be complete without being served a late night dinner in the bar room by the exceptional Alessandro. He is the very best, listening to your every word while never missing a detail to make sure your dining experience is perfect. A special bonus is his knowledge of the history of Villa Serbelloni! Highly recommend this experience!

What a beautifully exquisite property, maintained extremely well and in a fabulous location on the lake. Management was very accommodating and cleanliness throughout was top notch. Breakfast wonderful! Hopefully, if we find our way to this area of italy again, we would stay there.

This hotel is simply lovely, very much like the grand hotels in years past. The entire place is stunningly beautiful and has been gorgeously maintained. Its location adjacent to shops and restaurants is very convenient, as is the fact that it has its own dock for boat pickup. Our rooms were elegant and comfortable, with very luxurious bathrooms and amenities. We especially loved the fabulous pool area, with its stunning lake views, and the wonderful staff there, especially darling Annabel, Samuele and Hermes, all of whom went out of their way to make our experience the best.
