Since 1873, The Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni has been one of most elegant hotels in the Lake Como area and the only 5-star deluxe hotel in Bellagio. From April to October, the salons and the large lakeside garden offer guests the chance to enjoy a holiday far from the madding crowd and close to nature immersed in one of the most beautiful panoramas in the world. Lovers of peace and quiet can alternate the pleasure of a poolside drink with beauty treatments and programs at Villa Serbelloni SPA, the hotel's own beauty farm. Or they can set off from the private dock for a motorboat trip to the historic gardens along the lake which, in Springtime, attract tourists from all over the world: especially for the wonderful flowering of the azaleas. For those enjoying sports, they can take advantage of the hotel gym, squash & tennis courts, a variety of water sports, or enjoy delightful walks or take a mountain bike out on the Bellagio promontory, before freshening up in the swimming pool overlooking the lake.

But the reason this hotel is number one on our list in every category is the people who elevate your experience day in and day out. Over the two weeks our family stayed at the Grand Hotel Villa, the high standard set and met by the dedicated and hard working staff was prevalent each and every day. From the concierge, to the waiters, to the pool staff, to the cleaners, the kindness and commitment of this staff team to create a comfortable and welcoming environment made our experience a 10/10. We became especially close with and Annabel, Giuseppe, Samuele, Anna, Emilio, and Oumo, whose hospitality and service made our days on the lake unforgettable. Whether it’s food, facilities, or people, this hotel gets all high marks. Thank you to the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni staff for the lifelong memories.

Perfection on the lake. Loved our 3rd floor room with a balcony, it was a smaller room but renovated. Swimming in the lake & lounging alongside it was amazing. The gin & tonic experience is so cool, even if you think you don't like gin. We rented a Venetian boat with a local guide (Matteo) for 90 mins through the hotel & it was a great way to see the area. If you like shoes, don't miss Rodolfo...

Tired hotel with stuffy staff. We were underwhelmed by the whole experience and how expensive the hotel and food was. The breakfast eggs, bacon and hash brown potatoes were warm on the first morning and stone cold on the second. When we asked if they had hot food the waiter proceeded to again take the cold food and put it on a hot plate. I again asked if there was hot breakfast and he explained that someone had turned off the sterner. He then walks away and I never got breakfast and had to resort to yogurt and fruit. On our last day we had an early departure (7:30) we got the continental breakfast and were relegated to some back room where they stored extra tables and chairs and were served stale muffins, cookies and fruit from the day before. THIS IS NOT 5 STAR service. And if breakfast started at 7:30 how difficult would it be to have fresh food on the same day. Makes absolutely no sense. You would get better service at a Holiday Inn.

This hotel was the most incredible experience ever! With old world Italian luxury and the attention to detail its staff delivers, it’s truly a 5 star hotel. By far, Allessando and his bar staff made every cocktail hour a magical experience. If I were born a Princess, Villa Serbelloni would have been my home.

I had an overall unpleasant experience at this hotel for several reasons: 1. The room windows were not soundproof, and I was consistently woken up around 7:00 AM due to external noise. There was ongoing disturbance from tree cutting, which significantly disrupted the comfort and tranquility of my stay. 2. Some members of the concierge team tended to overcomplicate matters instead of resolving them efficiently. On several occasions, my requests were completely ignored over the phone. 3. I encountered rude behavior, particularly from the Front Desk Manager, who showed little professionalism or follow-through on her own suggestions. 4. Guests are not allowed to use an iron or ironing board in the room, which is highly inconvenient. Clothes must be sent to the laundry at an additional cost. When I did so, my items were returned with significant delay. Based on this experience, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
