The Place to Stay in the Bellingham Area
Hotel Bellwether should be everyone's "first choice" for a place to stay in this northwestern corner of Washington state. We have stayed many times and have never been disappointed. We have informally created a holiday season kickoff event by always showing up in early December so we can immerse ourselves in the Christmas Tree fund-raiser that the BW sponsors for the local community. The lobby and the Lighthouse Grill passageway are full of decorated trees and you can vote for the winner and even get an opportunity for a night in the Lighthouse Suite (which we recommend highly)! As always, the Hotel can be either the sole reason you're here, given all the outdoor waterfront recreation and dining options you could imagine being located within easy walking distance of the lobby; so you won't even need to ever get back in your car until it's time to check out! In the alternative, the central location of the Hotel can just as easily serve as a convenient and comfortable base of operations should you desire to venture out further into the surrounding Bellingham area.

A very special hotel!
Such a beautiful hotel! The setting is breathtaking. We visited family in the area, but I’d go back even if we weren’t visiting loved ones. Loved the hotel, the location. And the environs!

Over the top experience
From check in to check out our time at the Bellwether was amazing. Check-in was extremely smooth and accommodation for our 20lb Golden Doodle was well over the top. Highly recommend the Luxury Suite. Wife and I had our own coffee table tailgate to watch the Mariners playoffs.

Best experience ever
My wife and I stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary, having dinner & wine tasting, and staying for breakfast the next morning. I couldn't imagine a better experience. Hotel staff was wonderful and more than accommodating. Our suite was perfect. Dinner and wine tasting was incredibly relaxing, complimented with a great acoustic guitarist playing outside as we sipped. Breakfast was amazing. The atmosphere at Bellwether is exquisite, we can't wait to come back.

Beautiful, dog-friendly hotel with excellent restaurant
Beautiful hotel in a fun and brand new part of town. Good staff, extremely dog-friendly with nice touches. Appropriate for the price. Restaurant was surprisingly excellent - staff and food exceeded expectations.
